I was walking into the castle. The town and the castle looked abandoned. I felt strange. "Raven." The familiar voice said behind.
I looked and there he was in the same white t shirt and blue jeans smoking a cigarette. "What happened?" I asked him.
There was broken glass everywhere. There was no color in here. There was no color anywhere. It was all black and grey. It looked like someone or something had attacked the town and everyone fled.
"Darkness." He said simply.
"What do you mean?" I asked not understanding.
"It took over a few people, and got them to attack." He explained but still not clear enough.
"Who? Who is it?"
"Darkness." He repeated.
"You are making no sense!" I yelled getting frustrated with the dead man. It echoed through the whole castle.
"It will." He said explaining only making me curious.
"What the hell is that suppose to mean? And why am I even listening to you? Your dead!" I yelled again frustrated and confused. I didn't like the combination.
"I already told you, I'm here to look after you!"
"Well, right now you aren't helping!"
"I kept you alive didn't I?"
We stayed quiet. I turned around not looking at him anymore and walked up the stairs. I kept walking until I saw a bedroom with a women in it looking out the window. She had beautiful black wings. Then a women with red hair and a red and black dress on came in.
"I think I found it." she told the women facing the windows with joy. She turned around and I stopped breathing.
I shook my head looking behind me to see the dead man with his hands on my shoulders. "How is that me? I don't have wings." I asked him not understanding.
He pointed at the women in red simply. I shook my head with my eyebrows knitted together.
"But I'm queen. And this is my castle, there's no one here besides those two." I thought out loud.
"It's a long story. You'll figure it out soon, I promise." He promised me while I was watching myself in the corner and reading my expressions.
I seemed lost, empty, angry, but I seemed strong. I looked like i was made of steel, I couldn't be brought down by anything. I was wearing all black and my skin looked paler than usual.
"Just tell me one thing," I said looking back at him. "Am I alone right now, in this moment?"
"No, not completely. A lot of people, if they knew the right information, they'd be here. Besides that the only people you have are this women, and me" He said with a small smile.
I hugged him and said "I'm so scared."
"You'll make it through this Raven. I promise this isn't the end."
The I fluttered my eyes open and realized it was a dream. I looked around the room and saw the dead man looking at me. I tried to get up then I realized Oliver was sleeping with his arms wrapped around me.
"Why are you here?" I asked him quietly not wanting to wake up Oliver.
"You don't need to be quiet he wouldn't wake up if a marching band came in."
"Okay, whatever, why are you here?" I asked again.
"I just wanted you to know, that dream, it wasn't a dream. It's going to happen." He warned worried I wouldn't take it seriously.
"I know that. But God damn must you make me paranoid every time I go to sleep?" I asked him frustrated.
"I just want you to be ready." He covered himself.
"I'll be fine. When that time comes I'll talk care of it. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to enjoy the present." I finished curling up in my covers and closing my eyes hoping he would go away.
"Raven, you need to get your memories back." He added not wanting this conversation to end.
"I can't control that!" I shouted getting sick of him. It felt like every time I turned around he would be in the room or my dreams with something new.
He walked over , releasing eye contact, to this box in the corner. I probably would have never noticed it unless he had pointed it out.
I slowly got up unlacing Oliver's arms. I walked over to the box and kneeled down opening it. On the top of the lid it said Raven. I looked up at the dead man, but he was gone.
The box had a lot of, what looked like letters. I opened one and started reading. The first words I saw was I'm sorry.
