After our little meeting, I stood my ground and I wasn't going to the stupid banquet. They said that they would deal with whatever was going to happen. Something always did happen.
It was around one thirty and The sun was shining brightly. The sky was free of clouds. There was a light breeze. I went out to the garden and walked around the maze. I stopped when I got to the core. There was a water fountain. The water was clicking peacefully. I sat down on it letting my hand run through the water.
I closed my eyes and just let peace set in. You'd think I'd know by now that peace didn't exist for me. Hell, by now you'd think I wouldn't put my guard down. But at this moment in time I thought I was invincible. Boy, was I wrong. All I heard was crack. Sharp pain hit the back of my head. I opened my eyes to a figure standing in front of me. It was blurry and before I could do anything, another hit to the side of my head. Then total darkness. I blacked out.

London's POV
After our meeting I sat at my desk listening to soft music answering emails. I sat there in the zone, or more or less in my world, when my phone rang. I nearly flipped backwards in my chair.
"Hello?" I answered startled and confused. Today was supposed to be boring and quiet. The key word quiet. But I guess all good things must come to an end.
"London, it's Charles. I'm so sorry to interrupt up you. I know your very busy. But there's a women down here by the name of Adeline Bonnie Cane. She says it's important. I've kept telling her she can't come in but-"
"Oh uh, no she can come up." I said rushing the conversation, I guess you could call it. He hung up the phone and two seconds later a women with dark brown hair and vibrant blue eyes walked in. She was wearing a corset looking thing with a brown skirt with pockets all over it. She had on gypsy ankle boots with feathers on it. She was different to say the least.
She could barely walk in the door. She was holding her head in her hands. I rushed over beside her helping her to the blue chair in front of my desk. "Adeline, are you alright?"
"London, where's the queen?" She chocked out. She was pale and her handing were trembling.
"I'm not sure. I just saw her like an hour ago, why?" I asked frantically but skeptical. She was someone who could get visions and see the future. Adeline wasn't the most reliable person out there. Her visions were like fifty-fifty accuracy.
"I had a vision. Someone had hurt her, and bad." Her voice was quiet.
I chuckled and I was relieved "Adeline, this castle is filled with guards. There's no way that someone could hurt her, plus she has a personal guard."
She shook her head and she grabbed my shoulders "They locked Oliver in her room. He was asleep so it was easy. She wasn't with him. And the guards, they took em out. There aren't so many in the maze."
"Wait, wa wa wa wait. So Ravens in the maze?" I asked confused and lost.
"Raven was in the maze. They hit her on the head a stone from the fountain."
"But the fountain in concrete. There's no stone or anything that you can from the fountain." I was completely confused. This lady wasn't fully there. I wasn't sure if I could trust her. But when it had to do with Raven, I didn't want to take any chances.
"I've been having visions about people dressed in the guards uniform hacking at the fountain and carving a sharp object. It would fit back into place perfectly."
"But why would they be in a guards uniform?"
"They were ex guards." She said quickly but still trembling.
"What do you mean by they? There was mods than one?" I asked questions over and over again because frankly none of this was making sense.
"Yes there's at least three." She explained continuing to answer my questions.
"But I don't understand how they were ex guards. We are very carful about who we hire." My eyebrows were glued together while I played detective.
"I don't know, but I know they were ex guards." For the first time she didn't have an answer for me. I started getting worried because when there starts to be blanks, that's when things get difficult.
"Why would they be after Raven? I get it she's the queen, but why?" I could count hundreds of millions of reasons why they would pick her, but ex guards?
"They're apart of the rebels." She said simply like it made sense.
"That makes no sense. The Rebels are humans. We don't hire humans in the castle. We never have." Not really any humans liked vampires, much less, Raven. So to keep her safe and everyone, we didn't take the chance in hiring humans.
"They were vampires." She explained shortly. I tilted my head to the side and thought for a second.
"The rebels don't trust vampires. They wouldn't be apart of that group if they were." I told her.
"I don't know why or how they are apart it. All I know is they were ex guards. They are with the Rebels. They locked Oliver in her room and found her in maze and stoned her." I said frantically trying to peace together this puzzle that she calls her "vision."
"Has it already happened? I mean I just saw her an hour ago."
"I don't know London. That's the reason I came here because I had the vision and I wanted to make sure nothing did happen."
"Where was she in the maze?" I asked calmly figuring that the calmer I was the more I'd be able to get out of her. But my calmness could only last for so long.
"The heart. Where the main fountain is." She told with her voice shaking.
"Can you take me there?" I asked begging her to say yes.
"Yes I can." She answered putting my heart at ease at least for the moment.
"Then let's go." I grabbed her hand and we took off.
We rushed out of my office. We went through the back door of the castle which was in the rose garden. We ran through it and stopped reputedly. She closed her eyes and let her legs take over.
We started walking through the maze and it wasn't long before I saw Ravens body on the ground with her head in a pool of blood. I started running towards her. "Raven!" I screamed over and over and over again until I reached her. I sat right next to her body and I brushed the hair out of her face. I was crying and whining. I could barely see my tears were blinding me. I examined her bruised face. Adeline rushed over with a guard. I cradled her head in my chest.
The guard carried her to the hospital wing in of castle. The doctors immediately took her into surgery. I sat in the waiting room with Adeline crying my eyes.
I just thought what if I lost her. What if I lost my best friend, no, my sister of 700 years. She may be moody, depressing, and have strange views, but she is the best person I know. She has the power to hurt someone, to destroy them. That's the power people wish they could have. But she'd never hurt a fly if she had complete control of herself. I admire her. I can't imagine my life without her. I love her with all my heart. I can't lose her. She's the stability I've never had. I need her. Please don't leave Raven. Please...
