We walked into London's office again. London sat down at her desk and pulled up her computer. Oliver and I sat down at the two seats in front of her desk.
"Raven do you know what today is?" London asked me with a bit of worry.
"Um, it's Thursday." I said plainly. I knew what she was getting to but I didn't really want to go over it.
"Yes but the date."
"It's October 23."
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" She looked at me with full on worry.
"You have some time before your next meeting, maybe go to the cemetery."
"Just tell me my schedule. What I do in my own time, I'm sure you'll find out later."
"Here, that's everything you need to do for this month." She handed me a binder with a page for each day.
"Busy month." I said nodding my head still flipping through the pages. "Very, but in the back there's that map of the castle with all the guards. Tell me where you want more or less of in which places. Also, I did some interviews of some guards and that's also in the back so take a look at those and tell me who you would like to hire, same with the servants." She explained and I nodded and walked out of the room still looking at the pages.
I closed the binder and walked back up to my room. I set the binder on my dresser.
"What do you have to do today?" Oliver asked me. He was standing at the door way.
"Well I have to go to a meeting at noon for budgeting for the humans. Then at two I have a meeting for the humans all together. Then around five I have a meeting about the guards and security. Then at eight I have a meeting with Mona and some of the advisors about the servants. That's should end around ten and I'll take a bath and relax and at that time you can go clean up and we can eat." I finished and he looked at me wide eyed.
"Is this your normal day."
"Nah, usually it isn't this busy, maybe one or two meetings a day Monday through Friday, but since I missed yesterday I have to make up all of those meetings." he nodded his head and asked "But it's only six thirty what are you going to do until noon."
"I'm going to the cemetery." I replied quietly.
"What was London talking about with the whole date thing?" He asked with a confused face.
"Today is just an anniversary." I said simply.
"What anniversary?" He questioned.
I wonder if he'll ever run out of questions.
"Someone I knew died today." I mumbled walking out of the door.
He followed behind me. I don't know why he didn't continue to play twenty questions, but he didn't.
I walked down the stairs and went into the green room and picked a few roses.
I walked out the back door and went down the stair case. I walked into the cemetery part of the large back yard.
I walked up to the grave that had Thomas Buckley loved by everyone he met engraved.
2013-2037. Too young. Too damn young.
I laid the flowers down on the grass. I sat down on the grass and starred quietly at his stone.
"Who is he? If you don't mind me asking." Oliver asked quietly.
I turned my head looking at him. I was barely holding back my tears. This was a rough time for me. This whole month is a hard.
On my damn birthday. Of all days you chose to kill yourself. You selfish asswhole... I'm morning the loss of the person I love the most and the person who destroyed me by leaving on the same damn day I'm celebrating my birthday day. You said you'd be the one person to never leave... Fuck you Thomas! Fuck you!
"Thomas Buckley was my first and only love. He was the person who made me feel whole for the first time in my life. I love him more than anything, but at the same time I hate him more than anything." I said with a tear flowing down my face.
"What happened?"
"Killed himself on my birthday." I said simply letting all the tears fall. Oliver just said wow. "The damn fool listened to everything else that didn't matter but he ignored the one thing that mattered. Oliver, in your life do one thing, Don't do what Thomas did, listen to yourself, not any outside voices. A lot of people make that mistake."
He leaned down and sat next to me. He pulled me in and to my surprise I actually hugged him. I started full on crying. He held me close and for what seemed like forever I let go of him and walked off. He followed behind me. "Your highness are you alright."
"I'll live." I said still walking.
