"I've found you a guard that's gonna be with you everywhere you go." London said as she walked in.

"I didn't ask for that. There are other things I'd like to be at the top of your priority list." I told with annoyance as I rolled my eyes.

"You're my top priority. And since with all the attacks, I got you a personal guard who is sure to make sure you live." she said with her pure signature smile. In my head it was almost laughable.

I was a strong, independent women who didn't need anyone. No one.

"Sure to make sure I live, huh? Well, in the case send him in." I replied in a smart tone. She tilted her head to the side and had annoyance written all over her face. "No I'm serious, send him in." Something told me she wasn't in the particular mood to here my smart ass attitude.

"Raven, you need someone to make sure your safe. After what happened today and what's been happening the past few weeks, and with Dermot." at the end her voice faded.

"He doesn't need to be a sensitive subject you know." I said plainly.

I wasn't someone who believed the dead were something that needed to be honored. It wasn't a crime to speak ill of them either. None of us are free of wrong doings.

None of us are saints nor should we be spoken about in that manner after we're dead. Why is it that once we die we are suddenly talked about as if we are some god? They were an alcoholic who abused his lover and everyone looked down on him, but once he died someone he becomes a saint who had "problems".

It always sounded like a bull shit to me that we celebrated someone's death. I thought if we were going to sugarcoat someone's death with such word than we should do a better job of pretending. Some used it has a healing mechanism, but most would use it has a way to hide the pain within.

My mom did the same thing. Pretend it's not there by turning the situation into something it wasn't. I guess it was something I learned from her.

"I know, but I knew how much you loved him. Mona told me to tell you she's praying for you."

"She shouldn't pray. Praying is useless. your talking to nothing, your letting your imagination create something fake. It's something people use to hide emotions and try to make them go away and not deal with them." I told her. She smiled weakly. She was worried, I wish she wouldn't. I'll surviving through this like everything else.

"Don't change the subject."

"I didn't change the subject, you did."

"Just meet this guy please. I think he'll do a good job. You might even like him." she begged folding her hands together.

"First off, I don't like people, second I don't deal with thinking, I only except 'I knows'."

"Fine, Raven, I know he'll do a good job."

"Fine then bring him in." I said giving up. I really just wanted my peace. It was useless. Peace was something I never got working this job.

"Yah! Oliver you can come in!" London said giddily. I think she forgot I was in the bath. I shook my head.

Oliver walked in wearing the red, with black assented, uniforms. And as soon as he saw me his eyes widened but he recovered pretty soon, almost unnoticeable. London somehow didn't notice."Raven this is Oliver Roberts, your new personal guard."

"First guard." I corrected her nodding my head. She rolled her eyes, but still smiling said "Well I'll let you guys talked." and with that she left.

Oliver stood there still and frozen. We were at eye contact but he shied away. I have to admit though, he was a cutie. Piercing blue eyes and brown hair swept into a quiff. He was about six foot four.

He cleared his throat saying "Well this is awkward."

"Awkward? How?" I asked dumbly. He smiled. "Hey can you hand me that towel behind you." he grabbed it for me and I stood up wrapping the towel around me. "You alright?"

"I'm fine your highness." I walked into my room and put on a tank top and shorts. I looked at Oliver who was standing there blankly. "You can go to your room Oliver." I said stepping into bed. "Well Mrs. London said to stay in here with you. Its my job to be where you are at all times."

Oh god I'm going to kill London for this

"Well I'm the queen and I'm telling you you can come back in the morning at five o'clock." I stated with a clear authority like tone.

"I don't want to be disrespectful and undermine your authority-"

"Then don't." I said cutting him off.

"Mrs. London told me the reasons for me being around you at all times and I agree with her reasoning." I just looked at him annoyed.

"Whatever, I'm tired, just sleep on the sofa." I said as I threw him a pillow and a blanket. He nodded and laid down. "And by the way, cut the bull its miss not misses."

I closed my eyes and fell asleep quickly. But I had a nightmare like every night but this time, Dermot haunted me.
