My Purpose

Chapter 9

Reina reached her hand out to a badly injured Sasuke.

In order to officially join, a thorough background check takes place, but in this case, one wasn't needed. The next step was making sure the candidate has the appropriate skills by having them face off with one person in class 3. If satisfied with being a 3rd ranker, no further battles take place.

Sasuke challenged one person in every class from 3-1 the same day for a spot in the organization and somehow survived. This has been attempted only a few times and people rarely ever succeed with their lives.

The fire division had their own special room for those that wish to raise their ranks. These rooms prevent the hideout from being completely destroyed while allowing the candidates to go full out.

Sasuke took her hand and soon all of his injuries began to heal.

Reina is not a medical ninja, but her kekkei genkai could be used in place of a healer.

Her ability is more complex than simply creating lost tissue and blood supply. First she needs an exact copy of what she is creating meaning she had to 'destroy' a sample of skin, blood, etc, before creating an appropriate supply needed to 'heal' his wounds.

Unfortunately, she is unable to add his energy back to him. Energy in a human is not physical matter which means she cannot create nor destroy it. The same goes for pain.

The hits he received will still cause him pain much like a bruise.

"Thanks..." he said as they let go of each other.

"You should rest until you feel better." She suggested as the class 1 ninja he went up against was taken away on a stretcher.

She already took care of their wounds, but Sasuke knocked them unconscious towards the end of the fight.

"I'm fine, Yami said you'll be going after the crystals soon. I want to be a part of that."

Reina didn't back down. As captain She is the one with authority here, but apparently Sasuke didn't quite know that yet.

"I understand that you don't listen to orders let alone those that come from the Hokage seeing as you don't consider yourself a shinobi of the leaf, but an independent ninja with complete autonomy. However, from this day forward I'm your captain and you will follow every order I give you." She clarified to Sasuke.

The tone she used did not sound intimidating nor threatening, but the words she used and the look in her eyes made it clear who the boss around here is.

"Rest, and when you can stand up straight without swaying around, we can speak about the collecting of the crystals." she repeated her order and this time Sauske didn't oppose it.

Nodding he began to walk back to the room he was assigned to the night Reina agreed to induct him. Unfortunately, his body was close to giving out.

He fought three ninja with good technique and strategic ability, he was sure he would feel it worse in a few hours.

Reina ordered Yami to come down from the audience section of the arena where only him and Maya stood.

Yami quickly appeared besides Sasuke and put the Uchiha's arm over his shoulder to carry him better.

"Maya will go by your room to leave you your uniform." Reina voiced to Sasuke who had trouble keeping his eyes open.

The Uchiha still hummed regardless of how tired he may be.

Hearing the confirmation, Reina glanced at Yami who nodded and opened a portal to Sasuke's room.

Just as the two of them left, Maya joined Reina's side smiling from ear to ear.
