My Purpose

Chapter 23

Unlike Sasuke, Naruto was running on no sleep at all. The same goes for Maya, Yami, Lee and a few others that stayed throughout the night celebrating their victory.

"You should have gone to sleep instead of ask me to train with you." Sasuke sighed as they continued their walk to the direction of the training grounds after stopping by to have breakfast at a restaurant when Naruto wouldn't stop complaining on how hungry he was.

"I'm fine! What makes you think I'm even the least bit tired..." Naruto questioned his speech slurring towards the end.

It was clear as day that the Uzumaki needed to get some rest. However, with his stubbornness he'll end up sleeping at the training grounds before starting the training session.

"You can barely walk straight Naruto..."

"Hey I said I'm fine!" Naruto yelled, pushing Sasuke's shoulder a bit too hard.

The Uchiha didn't expect Naruto to use this much force and lost balance, fortunately his instincts kicked in on time before he could fall or bump into anyone, but he ended up standing in a somewhat awkward position that he hoped no one saw.

After successfully regaining balance he was about to scold the blonde for using so much force and to go home, but was stopped upon seeing the people getting out of the store Naruto almost pushed him into.

"Look at who we got here." Voiced Yami looking amused. "You still holding on there Naruto!"

The blonde's eyes widened upon seeing the male Matsui.

"I'm not loosing!"

"Are you sure? You don't look too good." Laughed Maya. "I can't wait for the free Ramen tonight."

"Hi Sasuke, Naruto." Reina greeted the two.

The three Matsui had a bag or two in hand and based on the items of the store behind them, Sasuke came to the conclusion that they were shopping for clothes.

They now had normal everyday clothing on, and Sasuke guesses that what's in the bags now is the organization's uniform since he could see the colors of it peeking out.

It was strange seeing them in anything but those uniforms.

Without them, they looked like normal harmless teenagers.

"Reina's here too! Hi..." Naruto tried to be excited but he could feel his eyes starting to get heavy.

Standing up straight, Sasuke greeted the Matsui.

"Where are the two of you headed hmm?" Asked Maya.

"To the training grounds. Naruto wanted to train and asked me to join him. He wouldn't leave my brother and I alone so I came." Explained Sasuke.

"Training grounds? Oh! Like the tiny areas the five villages have to train their ninja." Chuckled Yami.

Sasuke couldn't be angry with him. He has seen where the organization trains their own ninja and that cannot compare with how the great villages or any shinobi village train their people.

He has trained there for a month and he couldn't compare the methods to anything else. Each session was individualized to each person and modified based off the progress made, it's no wonder how their ninja were so strong seeing as these methods involved all divisions.

Had it not been for the crystal's self healing, complete annihilation was a great possibility.

"Yeah..." sighed Sasuke.

"How cute! Can we come see? We couldn't see much of your power during the battle. I really want to see how strong the two of you are now." Smiled Maya.
