After more than an hour of greeting everyone and awkwardly listening to their words of gratitude she finally found an opening to get herself something to drink.

As she walked to the table where all the food and drinks were located, she saw a few people around the area as well, mainly adults.

She bowed respectfully at them and made her way to the water. Grabbing a bottle she was about to leave when one of them began to speak.

"Say Reina, if for any reason you do decide to stay and wish to continue being a ninja, we would gladly welcome you to our strategy department. We could use someone like you there." Offered Shikaku.

"Your friends could no doubt gain a high position as well if they wish to take it." Added Shikamaru.

"Oh come on you two, stop pressuring the poor girl. You'll end up guilting her into doing something she doesn't want to do." Scolded Shikamaru's mom, apologizing to Reina for their inconsiderate behavior.

The Matsui rubbed the back of her neck nervously. She was perplexed on what to say...

"Uhm, it's no problem Mrs. Nara. It's nice knowing we would be accepted here in the hidden leaf so thank you. I'll keep your words in mind."

Shikaku nodded.

"Our intention is solely to make you three feel accepted here. I'm sorry if it may have sounded as if we are only interested in the capabilities of you and your team. As you can see, my son and I aren't very good when it comes to these sort of things." He apologized.

Reina wanted to make clear that she wasn't offended by what they previously said and that no explanation was needed but Sasuke and Naruto soon neared the self serve area with Naruto's loud voice grabbing everyone's attention.

"I'm serious! I haven't paid for a single meal at restaurants in months! People just randomly pay for it without me knowing!"

Sasuke didn't seem very interested in what Naruto was saying. His humming responses were seen as sarcastic to the blonde and thus made him even more upset, thinking that Sasuke didn't believe him.

"You want to go right now!" Naruto challenged, for the first time getting a blunt 'no' instead of a simple hum. "Why not!"

Shikamaru scoffed in an amused way as he saw those two bicker.

"They never change do they..."

Reina recalled back during the chunin exams that these two constantly bickered with one another during those times, she believed that this is what Shikamaru meant.

"I don't think they ever will." Added Shikaku with a laugh.

"I said no."

"Come on!"

"No."

"What If Itachi joins?"

"No."

"Reina?"

"Still no, what does she got to do with any of this anyway."

"I don't know, thought I'd give it a try." Naruto shrugged as he reached for a juice and a bag of chips placed right besides the drinks.

Meanwhile, Reina and the Nara members went back to their conversation.

Sasuke and Naruto quickly noticed, Sasuke being the first.

"What do you think they're talking about?" Voiced Naruto far calmer than before.

"They're probably trying to convince her to stay here."
