One year later

Just a year later, another atrocity occurred that affected the five great villages and all the smaller villages that surrounded them.

Fortunately, there are plenty of capable ninja that could put an end to this, a handful which will travel to a place they never thought they would travel to in order to complete a rescue mission as well as face the source of the problem while the rest remain down on earth protecting as many people from the falling meteors.

"We have too many injured and one of our best medical ninja is up on the moon. Things are really not going well." Sighed Kakashi as he looked at his options.

Time was also running out. The Raikage has continuously threatened to blow up the moon where plenty of the hidden leafs best ninja are currently located. It has taken the other four kage to stop him and allow Naruto's team some more time.

Itachi and Sasuke have been able to take care of a lot of meteors, but it's difficult to focus on destroying meteors while at the same time looking out for the villagers that could be close by and be hit by the aftershock of their attacks.

There are also civilians trapped underneath rubble that have yet to be found...

"Casualties have slowed down a lot because of those stopping the meteors." Might guy pointed out hoping to cheer up his friend. "Obito's Jutsu is also helping tremendously at getting trapped civilians out with minimal risks as you said it would."

Kakashi still felt like he was failing as Hokage. He believed he could do better this...

"You're doing just fine Kakashi. Not even I would have been able to do as good a job as you have." Complimented Tsunade who just appeared a few seconds ago.

"Lady Tsunade? How are things going with the injured?" He asked feeling somewhat hopeful.

"Things are well. A bit hectic, but seeing our situation, that's normal. What I came here for is to inform you that we have a visitor." She smiled nodding for him to look in front of him where a bright blue light shot towards a meteor, instantly blowing it up into small particles.

Kakashi's expression became less tensed knowing who came to help them.

"But how..."

"Ino contacted them. She also told them about the Raikage's plans, so one of them went to the hidden cloud to make sure he doesn't do anything."

"How did she..."

"Well, Ino was apparently the only person those three entrusted their location to in case something like this happened, and their help would be needed." Chuckled Tsunade.

"I see, well, I'm glad they did. It certainly lifted some weight off my shoulders now that Naruto and the others are safe from the Raikage's weapon." Kakashi said, releasing a sigh of relief.

"See Kakashi, everything is going just fine." Laughed Guy, holding a thumbs up to his friend.

Things are going smoother now. They got the reassurance they needed and now can put more of their focus to the situation in the village instead of how much time Naruto and the others had to finish their mission...

Sasuke who was on the east side of the village destroyed another meteor making sure that none of the pieces were large enough to damage the buildings below in case someone was trapped inside.

While he was still up in the air he glanced down, his eyes widened when he saw a mother and child running with a hidden leaf ninja most likely guiding them to safety. Unfortunately, that ninja seemed to be one of the lower ranked ones and didn't sense the 50 pound rock that resulted from Sasuke's previous attack heading their way.

His plan was to use his rennigan and switch places with the small piece of meteor to successfully destroy it before it got the chance to land, but that didn't happen.

Before he got the chance to do anything, a blue light shot towards the target, instantly destroying it to a harmless size surprising both Sasuke and those down below.

The raven's eyes shot in the direction the beam came from to find a very familiar face.

The person came down to the shocked civilians and opened a portal for them to use seeing they still had a ways to go to safety.

When the three walked through the portal, it closed and the person's attention went towards Sasuke. Their reaction to seeing the Uchiha was an indifferent one as they simply turned around and walked away from him.

Eyes furrowing, he mustered the courage to walk towards them. Teleporting in front, he asked the question that has been killing him since he felt their chakra in the hidden leaf over an hour earlier.

"Reina, where is she?"

The Matsui didn't make eye contact with him.

"The hidden cloud."

"H-How is She..?"

"Fine."

"Maya..." Sasuke sighed, knowing the young Matsui was giving him short replies on purpose.

Maya has rarely ever been seen with anything other than a smile, but now her lips were a thin line. Something like what's going on would normally have excited her, but there's not a drop of excitement in her eyes.

"You hurt her. You promised Yami you'd never hurt our Reina, but you lied... We trusted you with her." Maya voiced, sounding very disappointed with Sasuke.

He could even see her desire to kill him behind those eyes of hers...

"Is that why she's not here? She could have sent you or even Yami to the hidden cloud."

Maya nodded not caring for the guilt he felt.

"She believes you left on that mission because she was making your life more difficult. Now she's refusing to go anywhere you might be hoping her absence will facilitate your life. There's your explanation, so leave me alone, I have a mission I was sent here to complete." She said, excusing herself, only to be stopped by Sasuke once again.

"I need to talk to her. Please, can you take me to where she is." He pleaded Maya.

"Not a chance. You've already done enough damage. Yami was right after all, you Uchiha are the worst. Can't believe I ever defended you against him." She scoffed.

Maya seriously didn't like him at all anymore. It was a completely different dislike than the one she had towards the organization. She was willing to fight them, but Sasuke? He wasn't even worth the effort in her eyes. That just demonstrates the severity of his betrayal of their trust.

"Please Maya. I can assure you I thought I was doing what was best for her, but this may very well be the last time I have a chance to tell her why I did what I did. It isn't at all because she's making my life more difficult. That's nowhere near the truth and I want her to know that."

"Then I'll tell her myself." She shrugged.

"I want her to hear it from me. If telling you Can help you see why I need to tell her myself, then I'll tell you."

He was willing to let Maya know the truth. He had to do everything in his power to talk to Reina and clear things up.

Maya made eye contact with him for the first time, intrigued by his offer.

It was no surprise that she gave in and listened to everything Sasuke had to say and needless to say, she did in fact create a portal when he finished...

Sasuke thanked her before leaving in a hurry.

She sighed as the portal closed and looked up at the moon with a sincere smile on her face. Not one filled with bloodthirsty intentions, but a happy and sincere one...

With three particular people in mind she said the following.

"You heard that guys? She's in good hands after all..."
