Chapter 13

"She's brainwashing you, just come back home." Karin insisted as she struggled to stand up after Sasuke's synchronized attacks.

He has definitely improved plenty since the last they've seen him. His reaction time has gotten faster, and raw power overall is much stronger.

He trained for about a week to prepare to be inducted, and then for a month after his position was secured.

"I've made my decision, I will follow Reina. It was my decision and mine alone." He told her and asked once more where the crystal was located.

None of them wanted to hurt Sasuke so it was difficult for them to fight him resulting in them getting injured a multitude of times.

Sasuke hasn't received so much as a scratch yet, but then again, they weren't going at full force, and they could easily tell that neither was Sasuke.

"Come on Sasuke, you know what she's doing is wrong. I get you guys had a friend in common, but is that really worth the world possibly ending?" Sighed Suigetsu as he just sat on the floor not wanting to continue fighting anymore.

Sasuke can use lightning which is one of Suigetsu's biggest weaknesses and the raven wasn't afraid of using it against him.

"I don't expect any of you to understand."

"Understand what Sasuke? You're helping a captain. However, if your plan is to make her fall for you and then kill her before she can get the last crystal, then yes I do understand. If that's not even remotely right, then you have gone insane." Suigetsu said with a sarcastic laugh.

Sasuke formed a chidori in his hand as he looked towards Karin clearly waiting for a response.

"Sasuke." Jugo warned wincing as he forced himself to
Sit up right.

"All you have to do is give me the crystal and I'll let you go."

"We can't do that." Voiced Jugo going into his beast form.

He really didn't want to harm Sasuke, but if it was the only way to stop the organization from getting stronger, he had no choice.

Standing straight he had his eyes clear on Sasuke and quickly charged towards him fully aware of his chidori still present and fully charged on his hand.

However, things did not end the way everyone expected, at least not anyone on the hidden leaf's side.

Before Jugo could collide with Sasuke, Orochimaru shot through a portal that appeared in the blink of an eye, and towards Jugo throwing the orange haired male towards the wall alongside Orochimaru.

Karin and Suigetsu both had their eyes wide as someone else calmly walked through the portal, but the tension made it seem in their perspective that she walked in slow motion.

Karin tried to assess their chakra but couldn't determine the feeling behind it. For instance, when she first encountered Naruto, his chakra felt warm to her. Sasuke's felt cold and evil back then.

This person had an unreadable chakra.

"Your name is Karin is that right?" She suddenly voiced as the portal closed.

Karin felt goosebumps at her name being called by her.

She didn't know what it was about Reina that made her skin crawl. She simply had something mysterious about her that inflicted fear without any known reason. All she did was ask a question yet it was enough to trap her body in fear...

"Y-yes."

"Please hand over the crystal. This is hard for Sasuke as it is, make things easier for both him and yourself by handing over what we came here for." She voiced as she walked to Sasuke's side.
