Chapter 11

A few days prior

"Reina is resuming her plan on collecting the remaining crystals."

"Does that mean that Sasuke responded?" Asked Obito to his old friend.

"Unfortunately, that is unclear. We received an anonymous note a few hours ago, and frankly we have no choice but to trust the note." Sighed Kakashi. "It's the only lead on Reina that we have."

"In that case I ask that you release me. You and I both know that those guarding the crystals are not enough to sustain her, especially not if she's with the other two she's usually around with. They're all far above Kage level." Pleaded Obito fearing losing this battle.

"I can't let you free Obito. If we lose you, we lose one of our best fighters. One of Reina's people warned us not to do that and if I recall correctly, you told us to take everything she says literally."

Obito was visibly frustrated. He was not only worried about Sasuke, but also concerned for the ninja guarding the three crystals. He wanted to do something and being locked in a cell wasn't helping.

"I promise to release you the second the battle against the organization begins, but right now you will remain here."

"If you won't release me what was the point of telling me this?"

"Because I know you're hiding something Obito. The closer the organization gets to engaging in a fight with us, the closer you are to crack." Kakashi responded.

Obito scoffed as he put his head down.

Just like Sasuke when he was imprisoned here, Obito's eyes and arms were sealed to avoid him using his chakra to escape.

Precautions had to be made, especially with people as strong as Obito and Sasuke.

"I told you everything I know Kakashi."

"You told Sasuke something you're not willing to tell us. If you do tell me, I'll grant you your freedom this very second. If not, I'm forced to leave you here for a while longer." Kakashi voiced calmly.

"I told you everything you needed to know. My conversations with Sasuke are prívate. What I spoke to him has no concern being told to anyone else, and I'm sorry but not even you."

"As Hokage I am obligated to ask, but as a friend I trust that this information won't change the outcome of this battle."

Obito nodded, he wouldn't put his own people in danger. At least not anymore. What he wants now more than anything is for the leaf to have peace. The right way.

"It's better that I don't tell you Kakashi. Trust me."

"I will."

Back to the present time

"You chose the hidden leaf." Voiced Sasuke once he came out of the hideout.

He was wearing the uniform every ninja in the fire division wears. With the emblem on the left side of his chest and his rank in the center of the fire symbol.

"I told them to choose their locations and that left me with the hidden leaf. You on the other hand did have a range of choices from the start." Responded Reina as she began to walk forward.

Maya and Yami already left to obtain their crystals which left Reina to wait for Sasuke.

"I chose to go with you."

"You shouldn't have." Sighed Reina as she opened a portal to shorten their journey.

The location of the 7th crystal is in a location she has yet to visit so she can't Just portal there. However, she has been to an area somewhat close to the location she needs to go to.
