Chapter Five.

Weird.

Sitting in the car of my father made me smile becauae of happiness, nasa tabi ko lang siya at ramdam ko ang distansiya niya sa'kin. Medyo naiilang ako sa pagiging tahimik ni Daddy but I manage to stay silent beside him while he's calling someone in the phone. Natahimik ulit siya at napatingin ulit sa gawi ko.

"Where are you plannimg to take your senior high school?" my father have this authorative baritone voice that made your body shivers because of its coldness. I gulped and looked at him back.

"M- me and my friends are planning to go to the STEC, Daddy" I utterly said and he nodded.

"I heard that school has a good students and educations and all" he commented, ako naman ngayon ang tumango at nginitian siya.

"Yes that's why Tessa and Leria are coming with me because someone offered us to go there" nakangiting sagot ko, tumalim naman ang titig ni Daddy sa akin na ikinaba ko.

"Who are they?" napasinghap ako dahil mas lalong lumamig ang boses ng ama ko, marami na ata akong nalunok na laway nang hindi ako makasagot kaagad.

"Tessaiya Fukuda and Leria Montoya, they are my best friends Daddy. Ang iba ay nasa lower grades pa lang ay kaming tatlo ang senior sa kanila" napahinga na ako nang maluwag matapos sagutin siya.

"Montoya? Are her grandparents the owner of Montoya group and company?" agad akong tumango. "I bet you're talking about is their heiress?" tumango ulit ako.

"Yes Daddy" I responded, my mouth formed an 'o' when he let out a paperbag and he handed it to me. "W- what's this, Daddy?" mahina at nauutal na tanong ko.

"I hope you'll like that bag, I bought it in New York last week" mas lalo akong napanganga at gusto ko na atang magtatalon- talon sa loob ng kotse pero pinigilan ko ang sarili ko.

"I didn't expect you'll give me this kind of gift Daddy... thank you very very much" he nodded again and stayed silent for a while until he spoke again

"Stop the car here, David" sinunod naman siya ni Kuya David at binuksan ang pinto, my father even opened the door for me so I went out to his car. "You can walk here 'til there" saad niya, napakurap- kurap ako at binalik ang sarili ko sa wisyo.

"Okay... Thank you for coming to my graduation ceremony today, Daddy" that was my last words before he went inside to his car.

He nodded. "It's nothing important, Wesley just forced me to go to your event. I gotta go, I still have my business trip to Batangas so yeah take care" kahit man ganoon ang sagot niya ay nagpapasalamat pa 'din ako dahil pumunta siya.

Alam kong hindi kayo makapaniwala na binaba niya lang ako sa isang madilim na eskinita malapit sa hotel ni Kuya Wesley, kanina pa siya humiwalay sa amin dahil sinabi niyang igala muna ako ni Daddy at sinunod 'yon ng ama namin. Galing kami sa amusement park at ako lang lagi ang sumasakay sa mga rides samantalang siya ay palaging may katawag. Masaya pa 'din ako na kahit sa araw na 'to, nakasama ko naman siya.

Pagkatapos ng graduation walk ay nag- iyakan ang ilang kabatchmates ko dahil sabi nila magkakahiwalay na daw sila ng mga malalapit na kaibigan nila. Akala ko babae lang ang iiyak pati na 'din pala si Hector, umiyak! Nagtawanan lang kami ni Tessa at Leria at sinabing magkita- kita nalang kami bukas.
