62. Captured by the Lioness

"I've never heard of any big achievements made by the king. Yuno, have you?" Asta asked earning a shook of disagreement from Yuno. "It shows that he has great magical power, but he never contributes to his people." Asta said. "You made a point." Yuno nodded.

Y/n's mind: You guys are asking for death but I can't deny the fact that Asta got the points right.

Asta just looked at the king with stars in his eyes, not minding that he can't feel his mana but can tell that the king is somehow not that charismatic or small-minded. Yuno reminded Asta to mind his words or else their dead, Y/n didn't mind at all. Y/n was ready to take on the king.

"You can't tell the truth now." Yuno said making Y/n giggle and Asta looking at Yuno with a shocked expression. "I'm telling the truth?!" The captains started laughing in secret, trying not to look obvious.

"Execute them!" The king exclaimed. "Execute these people!"

Asta just looked shocked, frozen in place while Yuno was blaming Asta for bringing him into it.

"Aww, is the king mad because a peasant exposed him?" Y/n said with a smug look on her face. "You...."

"I'm just saying...After all, I'm not under your guidance." Y/n said. "Kill her! NOW!"

The people who were watching the scene unfold were just staring blankly at the king.

"Execution?"

"For real?"

"You can't kill me, I'm not under your guidance. I'm under the REAL king's guidance." Y/n said. "I am the real king!" The king exclaimed. "The real king of this kingdom is right beside you!"

What Y/n said made the king's blood boil even more.

"Kill! Kill! Kill! Hurry and kill them!" The king exclaimed, pointing at the trio. The Wizard King then went in front of the king, defending the trio.

"My King, please calm down. Please pardon this woman and these men as a favor for me. Someday, these three might become the shields that defend the King. Executing your people for something so trivial will instead undermine your authority." The Wizard King said making the king back up a bit with sweat dripping down from his head.

"I have hopes for the Royal Knights. Members of the Magic Knights, show off your great strengths!" The Wizard exclaimed to the people with his fist in the air.

Captain Nozel's mind: Of course we will.

Captain Jack's mind: If my squad members are picked, we will receive more positive comments. I'm still bothered with losing to Yami's squad.

Captain Rill's mind: I'll try harder so I won't come last again.

Captain Yami's mind: This is definitely Sir Julius' proposal. Only he can have these interesting ideas.

"Wizard King, I have made the king so mad. I'm really sorry." Asta bowed. "Apologize to me too. I'm also executed with you." Yuno said. "I'm sorry for making it worse." Y/n bowed as well.

"Since you aim at becoming the Wizard King, being Royal Knights will let you gain more actual merits. You are strong, but you are still newbies. Many fierce warriors will join the assessment for sure. Their power is unlike anything you have seen."

"It's what I want!" Asta exclaimed. "If we lose to that, it means our power is still weak." Yuno said. "We believe that we are strong so it's obvious that we're going to win despite the challenges we have to face on the way. Y/n said with a smile.
