39. Entering the Dungeon

(In the dungeon)

"It's dark." Noelle said. "Stop sticking so close to me. It's hard to walk." Asta complained. "I-I am not!" Noelle exclaimed. Noelle accidentally tripped and hit Asta's back which caused the lamp that he was holding to fall.

"It's pitch black!" Asta exclaimed then Luck laughed. "You guys....." Y/n sighed then casted a fire spell on her palm. "Just keep going, I will handle the lighting." Y/n said. "Thank you Y/n!" Asta exclaimed. Y/n's left palm had a small fire on it but for some reason it got bigger.

"Y/n! Are you trying to kill us?!" Asta shouted. "It got bigger on it's own okay! I'm not trying to kill you guys!" Y/n shot back. "Just don't use your magic here, Y/n. I think it's just a reaction from being inside this dungeon." Luck smiled. "H-hai" Y/n said.

(While walking with no light)

"That hurts...Excuse me, stop stepping on my foot!" Noelle exclaimed. "I did not do it on purpose! Stop being so testy!" Asta exclaimed. "It's your fault for breaking the lamp! I can't stand your clumsiness!" Noelle exclaimed. "You knocked into me when you tripped!" Asta exclaimed. "What? I am royalty!" Noelle exclaimed.

"So what?"

"Useless!"

"Guys....That's enough!" Y/n exclaimed then Noelle and Asta went silent.

Luck noticed that there was a block that has a glowing outline then decided to look closer. "What's wrong Luck-senpai?" Y/n asked. "I think we are here." Luck said then pushed the block and a bright light covered the area in seconds then disappeared. A big hole was created when Luck pushed the block and it revealed the interior of the dungeon, this put them all into shock.

"It's...It's majestic!" Asta exclaimed. "What is going on here?" he asked. "What is this?" Noelle asked. "It seems like the space has been distorted because of magic. The magic here feels stronger than the magic outside." Luck said. "The magic here is too strong." Y/n said. "Yes, I have never seen a place so full of magic." Noelle said. "Is that so?" Asta asked. "Don't tell me you are not able to feel this surge of magic?" Noelle asked in surprise. "I don't feel it at all." Asta said.

"Remember, he doesn't have mana." Y/n said. "What a pity. It's different for people without magical powers." Noelle said. "Shut up!" Asta exclaimed then fell onto the ground, kneeling, "I want to feel it too." he said. "I want to possess magical power too! I am so envious of all of you who have such impressive powers. There is none in me at all, the source of power!" Asta started crying with stars in his eyes, "Damn it!"

"Asta, it's okay. I'm pretty sure there is a good reason why you don't have mana. Plus you're strong after all those training years back in Hage." Y/n said. "Why are you so nice to me this time? Your personality changes a lot, are you really the Y/n that I know before?" Asta asked then Y/n hit his head, "I am Y/n." she said.

The area where Asta hit on the ground suddenly glowed. "Huh?" A big rock suddenly appeared which surprised Asta. "Trap Magic?" Noelle asked. Asta opened his grimoire then took out his sword and sliced through the rock then it disappeared.

"That was close. Be careful." Noelle said. "Sorry about that." Asta said rubbing the back of his head. "There are traps everywhere so we should be careful." Y/ said.

Luck noticed something, "Asta, look at this." Luck called him. Luck pointed at a symbol, "This.". "Which one?" Asta asked. "Wait....No go back! Go back!" Y/n exclaimed but then it was too late, Luck pushed Asta, "Here.".

Asta accidentally stepped on the symbol then another big rock appeared in front of them. "AHHHHHHH!" Asta sliced through the big rock. "What are you doing?" Asta asked Luck. Luck started clapping, "So cool!" he exclaimed. "Why did you push him?" Noelle asked. "Are we really okay to be in his hands?" Y/n asked.

They stopped when Noelle started, "It's there too." she pointed at another symbol on the ground. "Don't step on it!" Y/n exclaimed. "Here I go!" Luck then stepped on the symbol and there was fire around them. "Asta, your sword!" Y/n exclaimed. "AHHHHHHH!" Asta sliced through the fire then it disappeared.

"Here!" Luck found another one then touched it and water came out from the ground. "AHHHHHH!" Noelle shouted. "Are we really going to survive?" Y/n asked. Asta sliced though the water coming out from the ground then disappeared.

"And here!" Luck touched another one on the ground and the fire came out. This kept going on and on and Asta kept slicing them. "This is fun! It's so exciting!" Luck exclaimed. Asta, Noelle and Y/n were panting, "Why are we dealing with his mess when he's our senior?" Y/n asked. "I....don't...know..." Noelle said.

Asta's mind: We will be buried here with this idiot!

(Black Bulls base)

"Are those kids going to be okay?" Vanessa asked. "The mission is dangerous and important and it will allow them to surpass their limits and grow." Captain Yami said. "Probably." He added.

"Probably?" Vanessa asked. "Luck should be fine, right? That kid's power to sense when demons are around is even better than those of the nobles. If not for his personality, he is a talent every squad will fight for." Captain Yami started laughing.

"It's precisely because of his personality that makes people worried! Magna exclaimed. "That's right." Vanessa said.

(Back in the dungeon)

Luck was looking at Asta's sword, "Asta, this weapon of yours that repels magic is really amazing. I guess the Magic Emperor was impressed by this and sent you on this mission." Luck said then suddenly stood up, "I hope I will be able to fight you in two or three years! If you are prepared to swing you sword anytime, even this dungeon is your oyster!" he exclaimed. "Yes!" Asta exclaimed.

Luck walked away, "That's good too hear." Luck said then suddenly went serious.

Luck's mind: I think I am about to reach my limit. *Scans the interior of the dungeon*

Luck suddenly looked at a passage way where he felt a surge of powerful magic.

Luck's mind: I knew it, there are others here. *smiles* It seems the strongest one is...

"Lightning Creation Magic, Thunder God's Boots!" Luck casted lightning boots to increase his speed. "Something urgent came up, so I'll leave the dungeon to you." Luck then dashed through the passage way.

"Wait! Where are you going?" Noelle asked. "He's fast!" Noelle shouted. "What is he thinking?"

"He's suave!" Asta exclaimed. "How did it come to this?" Noelle asked.

"I'm pretty sure he left because he felt someone's mana here who he thinks is the strongest." Y/n said. "How do you know, Y/n?" Asta asked. "I felt it too. Plus thinking about Luck's personality, he would straight up attack him." Y/n said. "Of course..." Noelle said.

"Should we tell Captain Yami?" Y/n asked. "Nahh, as if our captain will care when all he does is tell us to surpass our limits." Noelle said. "I agree." Y/n and Asta said in unison.

(Black Bulls base)
The members were just relaxing, busy doing their own stuff until Captain Yami sneezed.

"Did Yami-san just sneezed?" Magna asked in suprise. "Oh, do I have a cold?" Captain Yami asked not caring. "Captain Yami having a cold?!" Vanessa shouted in her drunken state.

"Do you need anything Captain?" Gordon mumbled.

"Oh, Marie..." Gauche was busy admiring a small picture of his littlr sister.

"Captain Yami...do you want to eat?" Charmy asked while shoving food in her mouth.

"I'm good." Captain Yami sweat dropped.
