18. A Flawed Squad

Asta was looking for the toilet but ended up going outside of the hideout. On his way, he suddenly saw a water ball aiming at him and he was drenched. "What the heck?" Asta then was looking for the person who casted it and he saw Noelle training. The target was on the tree but her aim was off so most of her water balls ended up hitting the ground and other places around the tree. "Noelle?"

Noelle was panting, she created another water ball trying to aim it at the target on the tree but she couldn't, it turned and went towards Asta. "Why?" "Why can't I hit the target..." She kept creating more water balls aiming them at the target but they all changed their direction. "...like what I imagined?" Noelle was panting hard, "I guess someone like me..." Noelle then suddenly remembered a memory wherein some people were talking about the youngest member of the Silva family, which is her, that couldn't control her magic at will.

"Seriously? I didn't expect someone as such to be born into the royal family."

"What kind of flimsy grimoire is that?"

"Are you really a member of the royal family?"

"You're so pathetic for not being able to control your magic at will."

"To think that you're my sister...How unfortunate for me."

Noelle started crying.....

"The Silver Eagle doesn't need a disgrace like you."

"Why did Mother die instead of you?"

"You're born flawed."

Noelle was upset, she clenched her fists in frustration.

Noelle's mind: I'm not flawed! I'm going to make you see me in a new light!

Noelle kept creating water balls again and again but she couldn't control them properly so they all changed directions.

"It seems like she has suffered a lot." Asta whispered to himself. Noelle caught Asta near the bushes. "Yo!" Asta exclaimed. "Little Insect?" "How long have you been there?" Noelle was quite scared.

Noelle's mind: I'm going to be mocked again.

"You..." Asta started..

Noelle then thought of the insults that her siblings said to her, she started trembling in fear on what Asta will say.

"No."

"No?"

"NO!" Noelle then created a water ball aiming it at Asta but then it went towards her instead. Noelle couldn't control her magic so she was stuck inside the water ball she casted.

(Back in the Black Bulls hideout)

Luck felt a sting on his neck and was smiling. "I'm done taking a dump, I'm going to get some sleep." Captain Yami said but then he felt a powerful magic. "Captain Yami!" Y/n exclaimed panting hard. "Noelle....forest...magic....out...of....control..." Y/n was panting a lot. "Oh no wonder, it has gotten bigger that it reached here." Captain Yami said and Y/n was in shock that it got even bigger in just a matter of minutes then she went out of the hideout together with the Black Bulls members.

Asta was running away from the water, he was actually running towards the Black Bulls hideout. "Oh my." Vanessa was in shock. "Wow!" Luck exclaimed. Gordon mumbled about something bad was going to happen. "Someone has lost control of their magic." Gauche said. "What an insane magical power!" Magna exclaimed. "If we don't take care of it, it's going to be really bad." He said.

"If we attack it with magic, the person in there might not be able to escape unscathed." Captain Yami said. "Can't you get her out of it using your Spatial Magic?" Captain Yami asked Finral. "Don't make such an absurd request. I can't even get close to it." Finral said. "It would be great if there is someone who could nullify magic.." Captain Yami said rubbing his neck and instantly looked at Y/n. "Hey, I don't know where Asta is." Y/n said raising her hands. Asta suddenly appeared flying towards Captain Yami and Captain Yami caught him. "You came flying just in time." He said.

Y/n's mind: Why do I have a bad feeling about this....

"Try to come up with a way to take care of that." Captain Yami told Asta. "Take care of that? Understood!"

"Wait a second, how do I get over there? I can't fly."

"Stop muttering!"

Y/n's mind: I'm praying for your safety my dear friend...

"You need to break your limits right here!" Captain Yami sent Asta flying towards the water ball. Asta then pulled out his sword out of his grimoire mid-air and slashed the water ball. Asta and Noelle were falling and Finral saved them both with his Spatial Magic. "Your power really is useful Finral-senpai." Y/n smiled at Finral. "Why thank you my dear lady, why no-" Vanessa cut Finral off by dragging him away from you letting him know that he would be dead if he went any further by a certain someone and Finral just nodded. Y/n was confused because it seemed like they were communicating through their minds.

"Great! I made it alive!" Asta shouted. Captain Yami was laughing at the outcome. "That was really interesting, right?" Luck smiled. "Goodness, Now I'm all wet." Vanessa said. "Thank you for the Spatial Magic!" Asta exclaimed. "Don't mention it." Finral said. "Little brat, well done!" Captain Yami pointed at Asta. "Arigato!" He exclaimed. "Hey, you there!" Asta called Noelle.

Noelle's mind: I'm going to be mocked again...*closes her eyes*

Asta walked up to Noelle, "You...Your magical power is so strong! That's so cool!" Asta exclaimed and Y/n giggled a bit at his behavior. Noelle was raising her head looking at Asta in confusion, "I feel so envious of you because I have no magical powers! Damn it! As long as you're able to train to take control of it, you'll be invincible, Noelle!" Asta smiled at Noelle.

Y/n's mind: This boy really knows how to make someone feel better..*smiles*

Noelle was blushing at what he said, "Little Insect..." she started. "Asta..."

Y/n's mind: Looks like he changed her...*giggles*

"I need to work harder, I can't lose." Asta said. "Tch, what's with that? It turns out it's all because you can't control your powers?" Magna asked. "You should have said so, you flawed royalty." Magna said and Noelle was smiling a bit. "We are...the flawed squad, Black Bulls. Even if you have flaws, it's no big deal, silly." Vanessa then got the robe of Noelle and put it on her.

"We're just glad that you're fine. By the way, I know a nice pasta shop, let's go together next time okay?" Finral smiled at Noelle. "Before that, try this la. All right?" Charmy had a fork and a dessert at hand. "You were awesome! I'm good at controlling magical powers, let me teach you. All right? Also I'll teach you the skills of mature women." Vanessa said. "Let me tell you how much of an angel my sister, Marie is." Gauche said. Gordon then mumbled something about being friends and no one heard him at all except for Y/n which made her smile. Noelle was about to cry and Y/n approached her and gave her a hand, "We're squad mates, right Noelle?" Y/n smiled at her. Noelle smiled and took her hand then stood up. "Thank you for taking me in." Noelle said.
