20. First Mission #1

(Black Bulls base)

"Yosh, here!" Asta was feeding the beasts but of course, one of them almost swallowed him. "It keeps coming huh?" Y/n asked and Noelle and she just nodded in agreement. "It hurts!" Asta exclaimed. "Hey! Don't just stand there and watch! Help me!" Asta exclaimed at Noelle and Y/n. "I'm royalty." Noelle said. "Magna said it's your job and Captain Yami said go beyond your limits." Y/n said.

Asta's mind: Are they serious?

Asta then was able to get away from the fangs of the beast. "I thought I was going to die." Asta said. "You are ridiculously strong." Noelle said crossing her arms. "That's because he works out. He doesn't have magic so that's all he does back in Hage." Y/n said.

Magna and Captain Yami came back.

"Captain Yami and Magna?" Asta asked. "Did they finish their mission?" Noelle asked. Y/n looked away instantly covering her face, "Hey Y/n, you okay? Your cheeks are red.." Noelle asked. "Noelle.....don't look at them..." Y/n said covering her eyes. "Huh, why can't I-" Noelle knew what you meant then just stood there frozen, blushing then she covered her face. Asta then was in shock, "Nani?".

Captain Yami and Magna were laughing and talking about Mr. Seihi beating them again with a royal straight flush and that he was on a different level. Mr. Seihi just gave them back their Black Bulls robe and nothing else because he felt bad, he also told them what they were going to do for him.

"Hey, Bakasta, Noelle and Y/n! We're back!" Magna exclaimed. Noelle and Y/n were just looking away covering their faces and Asta just stood there frozen. "Be happy! You guys are going to go on your first mission in the name of Magic Knights." "Ehhh?" The three of them exclaimed looking at Magna and Captain Yami then Y/n and Noelle looked away again. "Hey Y/n and Noelle, you guys okay?" Captain Yami asked out of curiousity. "YOUR CLOTHES FOR PETE'S SAKE!" Y/n exclaimed. "Oh, hehehehe wari wari." Captain Yami said and laughed together with Magna then they left to get their clothes.

Y/n's mind: Are they serious?

(Meanwhile)

"So this is what's going to happen, we're going to give you your first mission." Magna said. "Our first mission..." Asta said. "As Magic Knights." Noelle continued. "I hope it's not because you lost to an old man." Y/n said sending glares at Magna and Captain Yami and they were in shock, Asta and Noelle were looking at Y/n confused.

Captain Yami's mind: This chick is really scary....

Magna's mind: How???????? Act like you don't know Magna...Act like you don't know....

"N-no hahaha..." Magna chuckled nervously. "What is it?" Asta asked. "It's probably something that's worthy of me as a royal." Noelle said. Magna cleared his throat, "Yes it is, you should feel honored. You guys are going to Sosshi Village to hunt wild boars." Magna said.

"Hunting?"

"Wild boars?"

"Sosshi Village?"

The rookies were confused on why the mission is hunting wild boars..."What kind of lame mission is this?" Noelle asked. "What do you mean it's lame?" Magna shouted. "They're just wild boars, I can beat them with just my bare hands!" Asta exclaimed. Y/n hit Asta's head, "What was that for?" Asta asked and Y/n told him that he put more oil in to the fire which left Asta confused. "Don't underestimate wild boars, you jerk!" Magna shouted about to hit Asta but was stopped when he noticed Y/n's look and Asta was terrified.

"They come charging out of nowhere! Haven't you ever heard the phrase "Rushing madly like a wild boar"?" Magna asked and the rookies just shook their heads. "We both lost to the village chief of Sosshi Village." Captain Yami said calmly. "I was right, wasn't I?" Y/n smirked. "No you weren't, you said old man, not the chief of the village, hahaha" Magna was chuckling nervously. "How were you able to guess something that closely Y/n?" Asta asked. "I heard a bit of their conversation earlier." Y/n said then Captain Yami and Magna were looking at her with wide eyes.

"Captain Yami and Magna lost?" Asta asked. "Just how strong is he?" Noelle asked. "We lost in poker games." Captain Yami said. "Poker games?" Noelle and Asta shouted and Y/n felt a rock fall on her head. "All of our clothes were gambled away." Captain Yami said. Y/n felt another rock fall on her head. "And six months' worth of wages too." Magna continued then Y/n felt another rock fall on her head so she fell down on the floor while Noelle and Asta just looked at them weirdly.

Asta's mind: Why do they...

Noelle's mind: Sound so proud of it?

Y/n's mind: Can't they at least look worried?

"And we promised him that we'd do anything he asked, so he asked us to get rid of the wild boars." Captain Yami said. "I heard that there's a huge herd showing near the village. They're running the fields, so the villagers are very annoyed." Magna said.

"I have a question. That has nothing to do with us, isn't it?" Asta asked. "He's right!" Noelle exclaimed. "He told you guys to do it, not us." Y/n said. "You morons!" Magna shouted. "Are you seriously asking Yami-san to clean up his own mess?"

Asta's mind: Normally...

Noelle's mind: That's how it should be.

Y/n's mind: It's basically his problem, not ours....*hits her face*

"We're the ones who are supposed to clean up Yami's mess!" Magna exclaimed while the rookies were just looking at them blankly. Captain Yami stood up, "Do you want to go, or do you want to die? Which one will you choose?" Captain Yami asked them. "WE'LL GO!" The three of them exclaimed together. Captain Yami then left them.

"Even though we're hunting wild boars, this is still our first mission as Magic Knights. I'm getting really excited!" Asta said excitedly. "A princess like me is going to get rid of wild boars?" Noelle asked. "What is it, you brat? You still have a problem with it?" Magna looked at Noelle. "No one is complaining." Noelle said.

Noelle's mind: It's just that...I can't control my magical powers yet. Is it really okay for me to go?

"What an idiot! You'll eventually get the hang of it after going on a few more missions. Since you are just newbies. I, as your senior, will look after you guys well and clean up your mess if there is any." Magna said proudly. "Magna, you are such a manly man!" Asta exclaimed. 'Stop it, Bakasta, you're making me blush." Magna said looking away clearly blushing at his compliment. "Let's just get this over with, I mean we don't wanna die yet.." Y/n said then Noelle and Asta nodded. "Well, if you insist, I suppose I could go with you." Noelle said crossing her arms. "Thank you very much." Magna bowed. "Wait, why are you always so condescending to us?" Magna asked. "I'm not being condescending. It's just that you always put yourself lower than me." Noelle flipped one of her pigtails. "What kind of nonsense is that?" Magna asked.

Y/n's mind: Let's just hope that we won't cause...chaos...
