26. Discussion

Captain Yami started clapping, "All right, may I have your attention?"

"It doesn't matter if the perpetrators are royals or nobles, it's the same. We'll just leave it to the Investigation Department. We'll just wait for the report. Enough said about that, I have some good news." Captain Yami smiled.

"Good news?"

"Good news?"

"Would you like to know?"

"Sure!" Asta exclaimed.

"Your performance has gained recognition from the Magic Emperor."

"The Magic Emperor?" Asta shouted. Captain Yami showed them a golden star, "So, you've been given a star."

Magna put his fist in the air, "For real? Awesome!". "It's great!" Asta exclaimed and Noelle flipped her hair again. "Not bad." Vanessa said. "Congratulations" Finral said.

"Well, what do we do with the stars?" Asta asked. "Don't get all excited if you don't know what it is." Magna said hitting his head. "Stars are rewarded by the Magic Emperor based on performance." Vanessa explained. "What are they for?"

"This is like an honor." "An honor?" Asta shouted. "That's right, Asta, it's an honor. It's an honor for the men." Magna placed his arm on Asta's shoulder. "There are girl here too." Noelle appeared. "It's an honor for both men and women!" Magna exclaimed. "I don't follow." Noelle looked down.

"The Magic Knights will compete in terms of the number of stars earned." Vanessa explained. "Because that shows how much work a squad has done." Finral continued. "Ohhhhh, I see!" Asta exclaimed.

"Besides, Golden Dawn is currently at the top with 70 stars." "SEVENTY STARS?" Asta shouted. Asta ran towards Captain Yami, "What about us? How many does the Black Bulls have? We can't lose to the Golden Dawn!". Captain Yami chuckled, "As for us..."

Captain Yami let go of the golden star and the star was flying towards a board with empty star places. The golden star disappeared when it was put in place. "We'll have a negative 30 stars with this added to the collection." Captain Yami said. "NEGATIVE?!""WHAT?"

"We're 100 stars away from the Golden Dawn."

"One hundred?"

Asta's mind: It's a long way to go to catch up to them , Yuno.
"It's impossible." Yuno said smirking.

Asta and Noelle looked surprised and disappointed.

Noelle's mind: Is it really a good idea for me to continue staying in this squad? I want to know if Y/n is thinking the same thing...

Captain Yami looked back at them, "Also, there's one more thing, it's the pay for this month." Captain Yami gave them money.

"It's money! There are 200,000 yuls!" Asta exclaimed with stars in his eyes. Magna bowed, "Arigato!". "Thank you, Captain! That way, I can eat a lot of delicious food!" Charmy exclaimed. "Sure, eat all you want." Captain Yami said. Luck approached Captain Yami, "Hey, Captain! How much do I have to pay to get you to fight me? Name your price.". Captain Yami looked away, "No thanks.". "Come on"

Gauche then appeared, "I want to buy a new outfit for my goddess, which is my sister, Marie. Which do you think suits her better?" he had another nosebleed. "Don't ask me."

Grey appeared and smoke came out of his mouth. "I don't know." Captain Yami said looking up.

"Noelle remember to give Y/n her money okay?" Captain Yami said. "Hai!"

"You get a day off tomorrow. Don't squander away all your money." Captain Yami said. "I'm going on dates with the girls." Finral said proudly. "As you wish." Captain Yami laughed.

Captain Yami was already walking out of the door, "Thank You, Captain!" Everyone bowed and exclaimed except for Noelle. "Captain, thank you for looking out for us." Gordon mumbled. "I would like to hang out with you guys. What do you think?". Nobody heard Gordon at all and left him be.

"He's only giving us this much money." Noelle said not looking satisfied. "What nonsense is that? With this much money, it can be ten years' worth of nomotatoes!" Asta exclaimed. "Nomotatoes? What are those?" Noelle looked at him. "It is a kind of sweet potato that is native to Hage Village which has an indescribable taste." Asta answered. "It sounds so gross." Noelle looked away. "Not at all! Sister Lily can make anything taste good!". "Who's that?" Noelle asked blushing a bit. "She's the one I'm going to marry in the future!" Asta was blushing and had stars in his eyes again. "What? But arent's sisters part of the clergy? I don't think they can get married." Noelle said nervously. She triggered Asta, "There' always a way to go about it. I want to beyond the limits."

"You're a fool!"

"Congrats on getting your first pay!" Vanessa exclaimed. "How are you going to spend it?" She asked them. "I haven't thought about it." Noelle said. "What about you, Little Boy?" Vanessa poked his cheek. "I want to send it back to the church at Hage Village." Asta said blushing and looking away. "I see, that's really good, Asta. That's what a real man is." Magna joined in. "You think so too? Magna, are you sending it back too?" Asta asked him. "Of course. But..." Magna pushed his glasses. "But?"

"That will have to wait until I have increased it a hundredfold." Magna winked and did the peace sign.

Noelle's mind: This guy never learns.

"If you are a real man, you have to gamble!" Magna exclaimed placing his foot in his chair. "Instead of a real man, you should just call yourself a fool." Noelle crossed her arms looking away. "It's good that you send it back, but hopefully not all of it. Keep some for yourself." Vanessa said. "R-really? But what should I spend it on?" Asta asked.

"let's go shopping in the castle tomorrow." Vanessa said. "You and Y/n too." Vanessa said to Noelle. "Shopping?" Asta and Noelle asked. "You guys fetch Y/n tomorrow then after that, I'll take you there." Vanessa winked. 'All right." Asta and Noelle said and looked at each other.

"Let's sleep now so we can wake up early and visit her tomorrow." Asta said. "Hai hai." Noelle said walking away.
