Somewhere an old man dies
And a child is born
Mellifluous is the sound of his cries
To the ears of his mother
It's the start of a new life
An year later the child exclaims
Ah look! it's a butterfly
The wind blowing carries the butterfly to the sea...
And December has arrived, August lost in memories Of autumn leaves.
One by one they broke, Spinning to fade into dust.
And the dust carries the fragments Of shattered hopes and lost loves. The wind, Hermès, Bringing past stories to present, The tales never happened, Words not spoken.
So the wind whispers them. One by one he pieces The fragments into words That today speak of a tale:
A young girl, An early man, Letters written into space, Lost by lies, Gone with the waves.

Hey guys! It's been a while :( hope y'all are doing well. I wrote this one a few months ago but I wasn't in the mood to come on wattpad and publish. I finally decided to and here it is. This is going to be the last poem of Mellifluous. I will be starting a new collection, hopefully by early May. Poems in that collection might not be as frequent as they were with this one. But anyway it's good to be back!
Hope you guys enjoy this poem and if you do please vote and share ❤️
