I heard the familiar sound of the quinjet landing and I ran outside to go greet my girlfriends.
It was a simple mission, Nat, Steve and Wanda were just to go check out a suspected HYDRA base.
I almost fell to my knees at the sight in front of me. They were pretty beaten up, and blood was pouring from Nat's leg as Wanda used her magic to carry her.
I was at a loss for words as I just stood still, not even realising as Wanda began to fly towards me. She ran past yelling "hey babe!"
Steve put an arm around my shoulders, causing me to jump at the sudden contact. I looked up at him with a questioning look on my face as I still hadn't regained the ability to speak.
"It was a trap, there were hundreds of agents, thankfully we made it out alive, Natasha will be fine, she'll probably just need a lot of rest," he explained before pulling me in for a hug. I wrapped my arms around my brother and he carried me into the tower.
I got out the lift at the floor with the medbay on it and sprinted as fast as I could to go find my girlfriends. Steve stayed in the lift, going to his room to clean up.
I found Natasha and Wanda in one of the rooms with Bruce who was removing the bullet from Nat's leg. Wanda saw me and walked out, pulling me in for a hug. I began to sob into her chest at seeing the state of Natasha.
Natasha was always the strongest out of the three of us, always there to protect and comfort us, always there for us no matter what, and seeing her so helpless made me feel so scared.
"Shh, it's okay, she'll be okay," Wanda told me, hugging me tighter. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt too?" I asked, my voice weak, my legs threatening to give out at any given moment.
"No, I'm okay, just a few scratches and bruises. Nothing Bruce can't fix," she told me reassuringly. "Will she be okay?" I asked, referring to our girlfriend, who was looking at us through the window of the room.
"She'll be fine baby, Bruce said she'll just need lots of rest." she told me, brushing her fingers through my hair. Just then Bruce came out the room with a serious look on his face.
"The wound is infected, badly, I'm going to try and operate on it but I don't know how serious it is. She's lost a lot of blood and I'm worried if we put her under, we might not be able to wake her up," he told us.
My legs gave out and I collapsed to the floor, sobbing into my hands. Wanda picked me up and walked into the room where Nat was laying and lay me down next to her.
I had never seen her so weak. I reached up and placed my hand on her cheek, she leaned into my touch and smiled weakly.
"It's okay," she told me.
I got up from the bed and we all said our goodbyes, before we waited, and waited... and waited.
Finally, after hours of sitting outside the room in Wanda's lap, Bruce walked out with a smile on his face. "She'll be okay, but she won't be able to walk and needs to rest for the next 2 weeks," he told us.
I jumped up and hugged him, "thank you Bruce!" I told him. He chuckled and hugged me back awkwardly.
Wanda used her magic to get Nat up to bed, I took a detour on the way up, and headed to the kitchen to get snacks. Lots of snacks.
I made sure to get everything Nat liked, so she would be happy, I hated seeing her so down.
I climbed into bed on Nat's left side, Wanda on her right side and kissed her softly. She smiled at me before her eyes lit up at seeing all the snacks I had brought.
I placed them all on the bed and we watched all of Nat's favourite films, which were mainly Disney films because she loved it when Wanda and I re-enacted the scenes and sang along.
After we had watched Frozen, Frozen II and Lilo and Stitch, I fell asleep with the sound of Sebastian singing Under The Sea ringing through my ears.
There was a lot of days like this for the next couple of weeks, occasionally Wanda and I were called on missions but never at the same time, so someone could always be watching over Nat.
After 6 weeks, Nat had fully recovered, and was back to her normal happy self. I have no clue how anyone could be scared of her, she's so kind and caring.
I had been gone for the past week on a mission with Steve, it was nice to spend some time with him, considering he was dead for 70 years. It was difficult, not aging for so long because of HYDRA, there was times I'd rather be dead than be without my brother.
When I got back, I jumped straight in the shower, before feeling a pair of arms snake around my waist. "I'm feeling better now, and I've missed you," Nat husked in my ear.
I heard the bathroom door shut and then Wanda stepped into the shower.
A/N: I don't know how I feel about this one ahh, the ending especially asfsjkfskfk. Thank you NatashaMaximoff1 for the idea!!
