"Fuck!" you were woken by the loud yelling coming from your girlfriend.
Groaning, you rubbed your eyes and propped yourself up on your elbows to look at her from across the room.
"Oh no, baby. I'm so sorry for waking you," she paused her game, walking over to you before pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
"It's okay," you smiled up at her as she hovered over you, guilt present in her expression.
She crawled in bed next to you, "I'll stay with you to make it up to you."
You giggled, "don't be ridiculous, Katie. Go back to your game."
"No can do, I am going to snuggle you till you fall asleep," she insisted.
"Well, we could compromise. You can play your game and I'll sit on your lap and sleep," you proposed the idea.
Kate's eyes lit up, "okay," she swiftly scooped you up in her arms, carrying you over to her gaming chair. She sat down, allowing you to wrap your legs around your waist as her arms snaked around you.
Your head lay in the crook of her neck as she held you tightly, occasionally pressing gentle kisses to the top of your head.
"I love you so much, sweet dreams honey."
