A/n: Attempt of suicide

Your heart rate picks up with every step you take towards the abandoned bridge. It's concrete, and stands over a large river, however it's barely used, being at the edge of a dangerous neighborhood often has people choosing a different route anyways.

You stand at the edge, balancing on the rails. As a kid you took gymnastics, giving you a great sense of balance. You close your eyes, embracing every feeling in your body. You lean forward, letting your breath out, ready to embrace the fall.

You feel a strong hand grabbing your wrist and pulling you off the rails and onto the ground. You let out a scream in fear at the touch. The arm pulls you away from the edge, and you feel your muscles crying out at the effort. You stop screaming and clutch your bruised stomach in pain, looking down and away from the person.

"You okay?" You hear a woman's voice ask. She has a Yorkshire accent, and sounds quite calm based on the situation. You don't answer, turning around so your back is to her, and your eyes looking at the flowing, calm river.

"Hey..." she lowers her voice and walks up to you, her hand barely grazing your arm, probably out of comfort, as you stumble back, leaning against the railing.

"Don't... touch me..." You breath heavily, feeling dizzy from the commotion.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I promise." She tells you, still very calm. But she stays where she is, your back is still facing her. "Could you turn around?"

Reluctantly, you turn around to face her, your h/c covering your face with your arms folded across your chest, though you catch a glimpse of her. The woman has light blond hair, and wears blue pants that don't reach, and a lilac coat. She takes one step closer, kneeling down in front of you.

"Why did you want to do that?" She asks gently.

"Why the hell do you care?" You mutter, barely able to hear yourself.

"Because I care. Every life is important, the universe would miss you." She speaks. You are very freaked out that she could here you. You shake your head, you probably spoke louder than you thought. "Come with me." She tells you, more as a command than a question. Okay, definitely a creep.

"Uh... no." You speak defiantly. You are not going to go with some woman who happened to be walking by before you fell, and saved your life. Then again... no. You tell yourself. Even if she wants to help, you don't want it. You will just try again after she left, if she ever did. You try to walk away as she watches, limping as your leg grows weaker by the moment.

"Are you hurt?" She asks, still very calm. This only makes you more irritated.

"No! Just leave me alone!" You scream, tripping over yourself and hitting your bruised knee on the ground, causing you to whimper and shut your eyes tightly. You bury your head between your knees. She sighs and walks up to you, way to close for your comfort. "Please, just go." You sigh.

"Come with me. I can help you." She whispers just loud enough for you to hear.

"Doctor... the mannequins... I... I got them." You hear a guy call, panting heavily.

"Great Job! Gold star for Ryan." The blonde woman speaks with a more cheerful tone. You hear a few more pairs of footsteps approaching.

"Who's that?" A younger woman asks.

"Not sure. Kinda found her here." The woman gives half the truth.

"You alright sweetheart?" The other girl asks, crouched down to your level. You heavily sigh, wishing they would just leave you alone.

"Just go!" You cry, looking up at her. You see she has a pretty face with dark hair complimenting it. Everyone gasps.

"What?" You mutter.

"What happened..." The blonde woman sighs. You reach up to your face and feel a small stab of pain. You are bruised there too.

"Nothing... please..." You stumble while getting up, running away despite all of the protests your body was giving. About 100 feet away your heart rate decreases dramatically, and you fall to the ground, slamming your head against the railing.

You don't want to give in, but the darkness is so welcoming.
