"I thought the killer eye turtles only lived on that one planet... Crystaline." Yaz confusedly asks as the Doctor stares at screens and monitors.
"They should! Someone's moved them all across this galaxy, wiping out wildlife and some civilizations." The Doctor answers, "but who?"
"I might have the answer to that one." Missy steps forward, "ever heard of the Meddling Monk?"
"Yes, but how do you-" She starts, seemingly confused.
"We've had a few encounters." The brunette shrugs, though you can see her slightly smirking.
"Meddling Monk?" Jenny asks.
"He meddles with points in time." Missy shortly answers.
"What do we do about it?" You ask.
A piece of you wants to teach him a lesson, to just leave the turtles, and time, alone! But another part knows it's just better to let the Doctor handle it.
"Not really much we can do other than move the turtles back. He's far gone from this galaxy by now." The blonde sighs, moving to grab something from under the TARDIS counsel.
"Every planet?" Yaz exclaims.
"Only the ones with mixed life signals, which comes down from 38 to... 3." Her face falls, realizing how many are gone. Though you doubt every single one had killer-eye turtles, or even life on it in the first place.
"Split up?" Jenny offers.
The Doctor nods, "quickest way. Hang on." She pulls down the leaver, definitely not using the stabilizers as the room violently shakes, only lasting a moment.
"Jenny, Yaz, take these." She hands them a handful of what look like darts, "It'll stun them long enough for you to safely get them on the TARDIS."
She gives Yaz a quick peck on the cheek, then is back to the controls. As the room shakes again, you grab onto the railing, wincing as you realize the painkillers are starting to wear off.
"Missy-"Before she can even finish her sentence, the other Time Lady is out the door, not even bothering to grab any darts. You know she's more than capable of handling them, but you can't help but feel a little nervous that she's on her own.
"Feeling alright? You look a bit pale."
"Painkiller is wearing off." You shrug, "not that bad anymore."
"Alright, come on!" She calls, running out the door. You hadn't even notice the room shake, it must've been a really short ride. "You'll love this planet, gorgeous market square."
It really is gorgeous. A variety of alien creatures walk around stalls, very modern booths selling items you don't even recognize. What you love, though, is nature is still incorporated. Trees and flowers still grow, some vines wrap around a few of the stalls.
"Planet of the Techins. Very smart when it comes to technology, but also fiercely protective of nature. Huge tourist spot." She grins.
"Where would the turtles be?" You ask, still scanning the crowd for the brightly colored shells.
Immediately after you ask that question, a blast followed by a scream tells you. Not even looking at each other, you both run towards it, while everyone else does the opposite.
You start to panic as aliens brush against you, struggling your way through the chaotic crowd.
They're not going to hurt you, they're not going to hurt you.
You tell yourself, but the feeling of helplessness that washes over reminds you of that drowning sensation. Completely helpless.
You also notice you've lost the Doctor. Stepping into the cover of a stall, you wait for the crowd to pass, trying to comfort yourself by looking at the different features of each alien. Some remind you of gumdrops, others have several eyes, or colorful clothing. A few have hair that grows up instead of down. One even has eyes rotating a round the head.
