You sit in the corner of your room, burying your head in the blankets you had over your head. Lunch had gone horribly.
[You had arrived at the restaurant, and ordered a salad while receiving a 'look' from the Doctor. No one else had said anything or blinked twice. You had even finished the whole thing, still more than you would've normally ate, volume-wise.
However, towards the end of the meal you started to feel extremely sick. Your stomach hurt and you felt so nauseous. The Doctor seemed to sense it, and followed you to the bathroom, holding your hair back as you threw up. And it hurt. You could hear your heart in your ears. You had been pretty sure you were going to die.
She handed you a water bottle from inside her coat, and you drank a few sips, recognizing the taste. She had told you it was in case something like this happened. She then continued to lecture you about how salad was harder to digest and you needed to start out with easier foods. You were so embarrassed when you came back to the table. You hadn't talked to anyone, or even made eye contact since.]
You have no sense of time, sitting in the corner while drifting in and out of consciousness. It could've been ten minutes or five hours, you really don't know, or care.
About the third time you wake up you feel the urge to stretch, so you do. Rubbing your head you realize all you want to do is dance. You grab your phone and just push shuffle.
Keep your helmet
Keep your life son
Just a flesh wound
Here's your rifle
Crawling up the beaches now
Sir, I think he's bleeding out
And some things you just can't speak about
With you, I serve
With you, I fall down
Down
Watch you breathin' out
Out
Something med school did not cover
Someone's daughter
Someone's motherAt that you just start crying. You miss your mom so much. You don't even hear the music anymore. You just dance for her. The tears fall down your face. You simply cry until you feel nothing. And it feels so much better. Eventually you decide you need a distraction. Getting lost in your thoughts for this long never led to good things, and the last thing you need right now is more attention.
You walk out of your room to the console room, but nobody is there. Cautiously, you peak out the doors and see a beautiful beach with two suns. The rocks are a tinted red, and the water fades between dark and light blue. There is a trail of large rocks, sort of like a pathway, leading quite a ways into the water. There are a few alien-like creatures holding platters of what looks to be alcohol, judging by the cups. You see everyone sitting on some rocks in the water, dangling their feet in and laughing.
"Y/n!" Yaz calls, smiling. "Come join us!" She shouts. You notice she looks a tiny bit tipsy.
Absolutely not. You don't want anyone to see you in a swimsuit, especially the Doctor. You are afraid she'll send you away.
"Please!" Izzy calls, you see her laughing at something.
You can't let her down, and you really need a distraction, so you reluctantly wander back to your room, looking for a swimsuit.
You end up going with a black top with spaghetti straps, and a slight v-neck with some black shorts for bottoms. You fix your sagging messy bun and grab a white beach towel, wrapping it around your shoulders.
You walk across the trail of rocks that lead out to where the group is sitting. You shed the towel and jump in before anyone could look at you. You lean against the rock, relieved you could touch the bottom, despite being a bit on the short side.
"Y/n, truth or dare?" Yaz asks with a glimmer of mischief in her eyes. Oh crap.
"Truth." You answer quickly. You don't want to have to leave the water, or do anything really.
