With the grapes still being cradled in her hand, y/n wandered aimlessly around the village. She didn't quite know what she planned on doing - or how she planned on getting home, but, for now, she decided to take in the sights and opportunities the village had.
She had already spent time walking around the place, gazing at the plants and the flowers that burrowed in the cracks. Every flower was vibrant, every window was open, and every face held a smile.
The peaceful walk she held remained until she heard the noise of someone struggling with a box across the street, which snapped her out of her trance.
"Are you okay?" She asked, but she saw that they were clearly struggling too much to answer. She quickly put the grapes in her pockets and moved over to them as fast as she could, "here, let me get it." She said, taking the box from the persons hand.
When the person was finally relieved of the weight of the heavy box they were struggling with, they stood up with a deep sigh, "thank you so much."
"You speak english?" She noticed.
"Some of us do, yeah." They nodded.
"Oh, great- and It's no problem," she assured them, holding the box in her hands, "where would you like it?"
"In the back of this van, please." They told her, pointing to the empty floor space of the open van not too far from them. As she began loading it into the van, the person began explaining, "I'm moving into my boyfriends house, they live quite far away and I didn't want to make multiple trips. I guess it would've been more practical to do more than one though. Dragging these out of the door is killing me."
"How many have you got left?" Y/n asked, standing up straight after putting the box down.
"Four, luckily, but they're the heaviest ones." They sighed.
"I'll do it." She told them.
"Really? You don't have to, I'm sure I can, I just had a bit of a struggle with that one." They explained.
"You're face is red and you're all sweaty, just let me do the rest for you while you sit down." She chuckled slightly while telling them.
"Thank you so much." They sighed deeply as they sat on the step outside of their house.
Y/n rolled up her sleeves before walking up the few steps to grab one of the boxes that were lined up by the open front door. With a grunt, she picked up the first one and carefully walked down the steps, her head peering around the box to see where she was walking.
The person watched her as she carried it over to the van, "you must not be from around here, I've never seen you before."
"Do you know everyone in this place?" She asked, carrying the box to the van.
"Pretty much." They nodded, "I've lived here for a while, which makes it harder to leave."
"You must really love this boyfriend of yours." She smiled, and, after placing the box on the van, she turned back to get another one.
"I do, he's amazing, I couldn't imagine being anywhere without them." They smiled to themself.
When the thought of wanda came into her mind, she paused before clearing her throat and changing the subject and picking up the box, "and, yeah, I'm not from around here."
