There was no kind of protection around the actual cabin, though the mountains surrounding it and the remote location of it seemed to hide it from the world.

Y/n grabbed ahold of the banister on the porch steps and pulled herself up to stand on the wood of the porch. She let out yet another sigh before limping over to the thin door.

At first, she knocked on it, but that didn't garner any kind of response. Then, she tried casually opening the door as if someone just left it unlocked, which, of course, they didn't. She added a bit of force as she tried nudging the door open slightly before realising what she had to do.

Before doing it, she checked the area to see if there was a spare key or someone roaming the area, but turned back to the door when there wasn't anything else.

Her eyes closed tightly while she prepared herself for the pain she knew she was going to feel, then raised her leg up to the door and kicked it with all the force she could.

She kicked the door with such a force that caused it to shoot open, snapping the locks off of the walls. The metal screws and locks bounced onto the floor while y/n muffled her yell to a strained groan at the pain that spiked in her leg.

The sound of the door flinging open followed by the pained groan from someone else woke wanda up and immediately sent her into a panic. Luckily for her,
y/n kept her focus on her leg while walking into the house, so she didn't see wanda move from her bedroom to the living room.

Jus before y/n looked up, wanda backed up into the darkest corner of the room, letting the darkness consume her so y/n couldn't see her lurking in the shadows. She watched, she waited, but she made no effort to attack the person who'd just broken into her home.

"Hello?" Y/n called out, trying to suppress the pain in her leg by holding it down.

Wanda didn't respond at all. She made sure to stay completely still so that not even the sound of her breathing was detectable to the intruder.

"I just-." She held her head as if it would push back the headache that she felt coming in, "please, i just need some medical supplies. Any medical supplies."

Even though she didn't admit to her presence, wanda studied everything that y/n was doing. She listened to the sound of her leg dragging along the floor, and the way her breath would hitch whenever it stung. Or the way she would sigh to calm herself down, and inhale to prepare herself for a movement she knew was going to hurt to make. She studied y/n just as she studied the darkhold: with the intent to learn more about it. But she didn't move at all, nor did she offer any kind of assistance to her.

"Is anybody here?" Y/n shouted as loud as she felt like she could.

After getting no response, she gave up trying and instead dragged herself over to the counter with a shaky breath.

She leant onto the counter and dropped her body weight onto it completely so she didn't have to put pressure on her leg. While inhaling, she pulled the makeshift bandage she made off of her cut and then moved the ripped pieces of fabric of her combat trousers out of the way of the cut.

"Fuck." She mumbled under her breath when she saw that it wasn't something she could just keep a bandage on for, she was going to need to properly heal it.

A grunt came from her as she shifted to turn to the cupboards but, once again, she ignored the pain as if it wasn't happening. She had no idea what she was looking for in the cupboards, but she searched through any one she saw, hoping to find anything that could help her.

Then, she got to a cupboard which had a small collection of medicines and bandages, and she raided through it. All while wanda watched her.

She pulled out a roll of bandage and leant against the counter once again, where she began to unravel the roll. Gently holding one end to her leg, she wrapped it around the cut before seeing the blood leaking through the layer. Instead of thinking to much about it, she just wrapped another layer around it.

Wanda did have the increasing urge to correct what she was doing, but she didn't want to reveal herself to someone she didn't know, so she held herself back.

When y/n saw the blood leaking through the next layer of bandage she'd wrapped on, she sighed shortly before trying to wrap it around again. However, that time it pressed onto the cut and sent out a pain which caused her to wince.

Seeing her struggle, wanda couldn't resist offering the advice she clearly needed, so she spoke from within the darkness, "Those aren't meant for cuts that big."

She jolted, startled at the sound of another voice before composing herself and squinting into where it came from, "what?"

Wanda then stepped forward into the light, revealing her identity, "you'll bleed through the bandage if you wear that one, it's not meant for cuts like that."

It was almost as if the air was pulled from her lungs the second she saw Wanda. Of course, she instantly recognised her, but only from what she'd learned about her from working with sword. So she didn't know her, only a twisted story of the damage she'd caused.

Her heart practically contracted into a stitch while hundreds of different thoughts shot around her head.

Wanda stared at her with a neutral facial expression, patiently waiting for her to respond in any kind of way to the advice she'd just given her.

"You're-.." she gulped, "Wanda Maximoff."
