Chapter 8: Take care

When I walked in the store I looked around seeing people shopping and checking out things in isles as they went. I grabbed a shopping basket and started walking around, i decided I would go and get the more important stuff and after, get the goodies, as I walked over to one of the isles i Heard a familiar voice talking to another person, when I turned into the isle I saw a familiar blonde talking to a short women who wore a hat and had rodent like teeth. As I looked at him I noticed a lot had changed since the exams.

His hair got a little longer, he was a bit taller then he was and his outfit had changed. It honestly shocked me a little seeing that this was the same boy I saw a few years ago,now he's growing and becoming a handsome man right before my eyes. He may be older by one year but that didn't stop me from treating him as if he needed a mother's love. I knew what happened to Kurapika's clan, and honestly it was heartbreaking knowing he was the only survivor,now all he has is the eyes of his clan that could possibly be anywhere. I wish I could help him but I knew he was an independent person and would say no.

"Omg kurapika is that you?" Both him and the woman's head turned looking at me, his eyes widened and he looked at me shocked, I ran up jumping on him and giving him a hug as he caught me, wrapping his arms around me like he never wanted to let go. Afterwards he put me down smiling a little and looking at me with soft eyes. "Omg how's my kurta Kur doing? I missed you so much boy but it's obvious you don't know how to keep in contact or answer the damn phone for that matter, what? Did you get a girlfriend?" I said rolling my eyes but joking with him at the same time.

"No! But i'm just busy with stuff at the moment, I'm a bodyguard for the nostrade family, but I'm mainly a guard for Light Nostrade's daughter" he stopped for a moment taking a deep breath in and then out. "I'll be in the next isle if you need me". The woman that was with him had patted Kurapika's back and left. "I've been so deep into trying to get my Clan's eyes I haven't been able to keep up with myself, or you guys for that matter". His eyes looked like they had nothing but despair lingering in them, he now had his head lowered. "I'm tired and just wanna get this over with, It feels like the closer I am to the eyes the more I suffer..Sometimes I can't even handle it,Makes me wanna-".

I quickly grabbed him wrapping my arms around him tightly, tears were streaming down my face now. It hurt me so much to hear him say things like this. He was working so hard to get the eyes of his clan back, but it was breaking him and having him suffer, especially since he was all by himself in this situation, and now it's to the point where he's at his limit,I have to hug him,hold him,and..care for him. "Kurapika,baby" I gripped on tight to him. "I know it's hard out here for you, especially with getting the eyes of your people back, you're a hardworking and very intelligent man, but please please please.." I looked him in his eyes seeing tears running down the side of his cheeks as well.

"Know Your Limits PLEASE, I can't stand the thought of you stressing out so much to the point where you want to give up, you have to stop pushing yourself so hard it only makes this trip trickier as you go. Kurapika are you listening to me baby?" He wiped his eyes with the clothing of his sleeve, he looked so hurt and broke down right infront of me. "yes, yes I am." I hugged him Again causing him to hug me even tighter than before. "Kurapika..please baby, promise me you'll take care of yourself, I love you deeply and wholeheartedly, I don't wanna lose you and neither do the others, I care about you so so so VERY much,I'd do anything for you and I hope you know that right here and right now, so please..take this journey slow and easy on yourself, can you do that for me?"

I heard a sniffle from him and shaky breathing at the same time. "Yes I promise I'm sorry I'm really really sorry, I'll take care of myself, I'll remember everything you said to me this day, I promise. But...can you promise me something?" He sounded serious but still emotional. "Anything for you". "If you ever find the truth about me,that you'll never leave my side? I love the others but when it comes to you, it's like a mother's touch, I don't know why but your words and comforting is so warm, I just wish I could stay like this forever, but I know when this whole thing is over I'll be able to do this again and see you guys." I put my hands on kurapika's shoulders and looked at him with a smile.

"I don't care who or what you are, you could be a stripper for all I care,I still wouldn't leave by your side. you're my baby and that's how it'll always be for the rest of time, but I'm not going to tell you again la boy." I smacked my hand across Kurapika's head, "Ahhh that hurt" he said in pain. "Take care of yourself and keep.in.CONTACT, like I'm bout to drag you at this point if you start that again, and I'm not playing I'm for real, you hear me?" I said pointing my finger at him. "Alright sheesh I promise." He said rubbing his head. "Good, I'll call you later to see how you're doing, and you Better answer or atleast call later. Alright well I gotta get some things for me and the boys so talk to you later". I kissed him on his cheek as he waved goodbye to me.

I soon then walked away looking for the things I needed. Afterwards I checked out my stuff and left the store, as I was walking back I suddenly heard what sounded like heels walking behind me. I stopped in my tracks and heard them stop as well, I left a confused look on my face but started walking again only to hear the heels walking as well. I started walking a little faster but the heels only did the same. I stopped again, "Ms. if you don't stop following me imma have to drop my shit and whoop you. "Is that so?" They said questioning me.
