You've lived your life with two kids by your side only for two strange men to come and spice it up as they barge into your past secrets and build weird connections to you.. (if you tell me to update the book my updates might be a lil faster:/)
Phinks rolled his eyes, "Stop your worrying, it should be over now, just try walking it off a little bit. Chrollo held his hand out to me, I grabbed it, getting up with a bit of struggle, Chrollo wrapped his arm around my waist to secure me, making sure I don't fall...again. "Thanks". "It's nothing, but, I would like to talk outside in private with you". "Okay then".
-outside of the building-
"So how's the mission? You know it's tomorrow". Chrollo said. "Yea I know, it's just...I didn't expect for it to go like this to be honest". "Like what?". "To be his fake girlfriend, while having to do all this practice, which doesn't make sense considering the way we've practiced is nowhere near how we have to act at the club tomorrow". Chrollo hummed, "and what's it like with Illumi?".
"We argue a good amount of times, but mostly because of having possession of his little brother". I sighed heavily while continuing. "We just don't see eye to eye with each other, which causes yelling and going back and forth with each other, so I just don't understand why choose me to be in this mission with you if we don't like each other, he could've hired somebody to do this".
"Is there a specific way he acts around you when you guys aren't arguing?". He asked, "sometimes protective, or kinda obedient, calm, and now that I think more about it, he'll try being the good guy". "Overall, I think illumi has a crush on you". I glared at Chrollo, "uhhhh I don't know". "Listen, illumi is a very mysterious and shut out person, I've never been able to find anything about him as much as his family business, and what they're trying to do at this moment along with family business, so hearing how his actions are makes me assume he likes you".
"Mm mabye, but right now I'm too focused on the mission". "Good that's what I need you to do". Chrollo took my arm from around his neck and made me stand in front of him now, he placed his hands on my chest and pushed me, making me hit the floor. I quickly got up and yelled at him. "What the fuck!". "Just testing out how your legs are going". He said calmly.
"Oh yea..Well thanks I guess, but since we've finished our 'talk' can we go back inside?". "Not just quit, listen, I've heard some interesting things about you from my team,good things actually, and most of this has come from nobunaga". "And what does he say about me?". "He's talked about an incident that happened with you killing a man at the auction, he also included you as very intelligent and strong, it's like he wrote a love letter out to me, saying I should make you a member, so would you want to?".
This man better leave me alone about joining. "Neh, I'm good". "And why's that? Your already teaming up with illumi and Hisoka". "Yeaaa but that's too much of a hard life, so let's just go pretty boy".
-back inside-
"So it seems your walk is over, any orders on what to do with her?" Mach said. "Nothing" chrollo said. Machi had a confused face now. "She's not the right person we're looking for, so you can just let her go". "Nice" I said. Nabunoga walked up to chrollo now. "Wait, so did you ask her?". "He did ask me, but I said no". "Scared?" Feitan said quickly. I turned towards him and crossed my arms. "Scared? Fetchit your so funny, why would I be scared to join the phantom troupe,I've already technically fought you guys, I just don't wanna have to be on the same side with a guy who dresses like he's going to a underground funeral, no hard feelings fetchit"
He looked at me and gave me an evil glare. "Not to mention I definitely can't be on a team with a guy who mistakes somebody else for the real target". "Shut up!". I looked at phinks now, "don't think with your brain think with your eyebrows...oh, you know I was going to go back to Illumi and Hisoka buuuuut I think I've been around them waaaay too much, so how about I just stay?", "how are you so sure you'd be safe with being here? We could just kill you or torture you". Chrollo said, approaching me slowly.
"But will you though?" I said "I won't" Chrollo said, "good enough I guess, so do you guys just stay in here until it's time to steal?". I asked. "Actually no, you may be surprised but they're places where we're loved by others, this place here is temporary,".
Author's note:hey I'm still alive and this book is sadly, i feel like I need to wrap this up and close it already, I'm trynna achieve a goal of making more stories like a villan deku x reader or a Connie x black reader, SOMETHING🙄
