Chapter45: out the library

"Well then Thank you". He said getting up. "Where are you going?". I asked. "To the bathroom, when I get back we'll leave this place". I got up as well now standing in front of him. "You don't like it here?" Illumis eyes looked in different places then back to me. "It's not the library, it's the desk clerk, I don't like her or whatever she's trying to pull". I shrug my shoulders. "Well let me show you to the bathroom so you won't get lost in this big place".

I grabbed illumis hand and led him down the stairs going back to the first part of the library, I looked around to see if the desk clerk was anywhere, but I guess the coast was clear. We walked down the hall making 2 turns which eventually got us to the bathroom. "I'm gonna go back upstairs and get ready so we can leave. I was about to walk away but felt Illumi grab my wrist making me look at him. "Be car-".
"don't worry, I've got my purse and everything I need" I said as I made my way back to the room.

I tucked illumis chair in and took his and my book, I placed his back on the shelf, I was about to put mines back but it made me think for a second. 'Should I put it back? Or should I buy it, I mean it would be so nice, reading my favorite book to gon, killua, kurapika, and leorio, I wonder what they would say' I giggled a bit at the thought of showing them something that's precious to me.

I then hear the library door of the room close, letting me know somebody just entered. I thought it would've been Illumi from the bathroom but when I looked up, i was obviously wrong about that. It was the desk clerk, who was walking up to me. "¿Qué quieres?" (What do you want)I said a little bit annoyed. "Look I just wanted to say that I'm very sorry, that was wrong of me and disrespectful, I really stepped out of my boundaries". I tried walking past her but she stopped me right in front of the table.

"What?". I say, she slowly grabbed my hand and rubbed her thumb across it slowly while placing a kiss on it. "Please forgive me, I'm just a single woman who's in need of love". I take my hand away from her now. "You know I wasn't feeling him, it was you that caught my eye". She then leaned in closer causing me to lean against the table a bit. She places her arms on the table close to my waist. Her leg leaned a bit between mines. "Move". She leaned in more, having her face a bit close to mine, "why? I know that assassin can't handle you, he can't even look and see the beauty that's in front of him, the loyalty you show this man when he doesn't deserve it, you need better".

I roll my eyes at her. "I'll let you in on something". Her breath grazed against my ear. "I wasn't gonna touch his hair". She showed me her hand which was holding on to a sharp weapon with a purple liquid on the tip of it. "I was gonna kill him". "And I wasn't going to let y-", I felt her leg push deeper in between my legs. I gritted my teeth at the feeling of her grinding her knee against my area slowly. I tried pushing her off but damn this mothafucka strong. "Ahh your so fucking cute, I just wanna rip your clothes off and touch you like the women you are". She says as she slides her wet tongue against my neck.

I push her some more causing her to fall back a bit. "I said move". I walk over to the door, opening it only to be met with Illumi standing there. "Let's go" I say, walking past Illumi. I expected to be followed but it seems he wasn't listening since he stood there looking at the desk clerk. "Illumi. Let's go". I say. He starts walking over to the woman but I grab his wrist and pull him. "I said let's.go.now". I pulled on his wrist while walking down the stairs making sure he wasn't gonna go back.

"What happened?" Illumi asks "nothing really". "I could hear you telling her to move". I shrug my shoulders "she was just too close". "Did she touch you?" He asked. "No". "You're lying". He said, sounding a bit annoyed. "Okay but it wasn't like she hurt me". Illumi grabbed my wrist making us stop. "she touched what's mine, I don't think I like that". I raised an eyebrow. "Yours?? stop being such a yandere, I'm not even yours to claim, remember? This is play pretend, at the end of the mission we'll just go back to being two people who don't like each other".

He tilted his head a bit. "Who don't like each other?". What the fuck? It's like every argument we had in the past had just vanished from his memory, like we weren't always at eachothers throats. "ILLUMI! I have your brother in my care, did you forget? You obviously don't like that, you nor your family". It was quiet for a bit, we just looked at each other for a bit. "Is this what couples do?". He asked

"What do you mean?". I ask. "Argue". He let go of my wrist now. "Yes sometimes, look". I was going to reach my hands up and cup his face but I didn't. "let's take a little walk and then we can go back to the hotel, okay?" I didn't wanna end this with us having it bad and being on bad terms. Illumi nodded his head at me.

I grabbed illumis hand and started walking wherever we went. It had seemed like the sun was going down slowly but still a tad bit bright out. "over time I think I've gotten the hang of what a game and a controller are". Illumi said. "Alright then explain to me what they are". I grinned, a bit eager to know what his answer would be.
"The game is the entertainment house which is to be played and controlled with, the controller is the wiring that hacks and controllers the house of what happens, whatever the goal is in the entertainment house, is what you have to achieve with the help of the controller".

I raise both of my eyebrows up, I mean he's not wrong. "Yes good job I'm proud of you". "Proud of me". It sounded as if there was a tad bit of confusion In his voice. "Yes, you finally know what a game and a controller is, now you and Hisoka can leave me the hell alone about it" I smiled at him.
