Chapter 26: whos needed?

"So I'm guessing you guys are hungry huh?" I said to the two boys. They both nodded their heads. "Alright then what do you want to eat hm?" I said picking up my phone. "Well I don't know, how about just anything breakfast related". Gon said. "Yeah you're right". I looked for the closest place around us and ordered whatever breakfast that there was. I ended up just getting the pancakes with eggs, sausage and a drink for us. "Alright welp, the food should be here in no time, considering the shop isn't that far".

After a while a man walked up to us with a big brown paper bag. I thanked him and started placing the food in front of the boys along with their drinks. "Alright boys eat up". The boys looked at eachother and grinned, I looked at them and immediately knew what was going to come to hand. "Please don-". The boys ignored my plead and started eating the food rapidly, stuffing every two things into their mouths at once. I rolled my eyes and started eating my food enjoying the shade and view of everything around me.

I laughed when Gon almost choked on his pancake. But quickly patted his back helping him get it out. You'd think after almost dying from choking on something, they'd stopped but unfortunately it kept going and didn't stop until a presence was standing behind me. I saw Gon stop with food in his mouth. "Kurapika!". Gon's mouth of food was spat into killua's face. Omg. Gon got up and rushed to Kurapika, now talking to him. I covered my mouth in shock and disgust looking at the mess on Killua's face. I got up and grabbed a napkin sitting down and wiped the food off of Killua's face.

"Omg are you okay?" I said, still wiping a little bit of syrup off his face. "Yeah i'm Good, sheesh you don't need to baby me" he said moving my hand away. "Oh is that so killua?" He looked at me, raising an eyebrow as if to say 'what are you trying to say'. "Well I mean you did have that little nightmare and never let go of me that night, so I'm just trying to help, that's all". I said smiling but letting it faid. "It was one nightmare, That doesn't mean I need your babying ways y/n". I rested my chin on my hands. "Really?" I said faking as if I was hurt. "Look y/n i'm Not Baby, I don't need your help, nor your love, I'm not that weak killua before. I'm better than that, so just stop this..whatever you're doing, you're not my mom".

I nodded my head in agreement. None of his words stung because killua was absolutely right. He doesn't need my care and help, it's not like I'm his mom or I need to be his mom. "Your right killua, I'm not your guardian and you definitely and I mean ABSOLUTELY don't need my care and affection, like you said I'm not your mom and never was, so from now on you're a big boy, you don't need me, I respect you for being honest with me. Friend" I smiled at him as he made a 'hm' noise.

Killua then took a pancake and spread syrup on it. He slowly got up and snuck behind Gon. I rolled my eyes and chuckled at killua smashing the pancake into Gon's face. I started laughing seeing Kurapika laugh as well. Gon had started chasing killua around with syrup on his face. "That's gonna take some time to get out" I mumbled under my breath. I then saw Kurapika walk towards me. I don't know why but I kinda felt nervous, a little scared for him to approach me. Should I run? Nah I ain't pussy, I'll just stand my ground if he tries to tell me something.

Kurapika sat down on the seat across from me. He crossed his fingers together and looked at me. The look on his face didn't seem very pleased at all. I felt my stomach drop now. No y/n stand your ground remember? You're not nervous or scared, you'll show him. "Y/n" I made eye contact with him. "Hello Kurapika, how are you?". I said, giving a genuine smile. "Why'd you do it?" He said. I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Kurapika I've told you once and I'll tell you again, I did it for you". "For me? What for?!" He said looking at me confused and angry. "Ugh you basically don't see yourself, oh wait I forgot, your not taking care of yourself of course you won't see it"

His eyes started turning a little deep red. "What are you trying to say". He now bawled his fist up. "You're slowly killing yourself doing this, but you don't see that, that's why I did what I did yesterday". I said averting my gaze to the tree and back to him. "Your actions were childish and dumb y/n I dont think you understand that" he said rubbing his temples in frustration. "Yes I know this but, your stressed with trying to avenge your clan and on the other hand, guard this powerful man's daughter, that's a lot to take in kurapika so I don't think YOU understand THAT"

"I don't understand? NO I don't think you understand the stupid choice you made yesterday, you could've gotten hurt or even KILLED!" He said. "YES omg kurapika I know this, I know I could've gotten hurt or killed but I'm only concerned with what I got out of doing what I did, it was worth it and it should've put a part of finding the eyes off your che-". "STOP!!" Kurapika slammed his hand on the table and looked at me with those blood hating eyes. It scared me seeing his eyes, it's like he had hatred looking at me. "Kurapika, why are you looking at me like that? Your eyes are scolding me with hatred and anger, I didn't do anything wrong, why can't you see that?". "SHUT UP Y/N!". "...but Kurapika, why can't you see I was just...trying to help?" I said in a low and saddened voice.

" YOU'RE ALWAYS TRYING TO HELP BUT NEVER REALLY KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING! YOU ALWAYS SCREW IT ALL UP!"

'I hope you don't think your like me, your nowhere close to being my child'

"YOU THINK EVERYBODY NEEDS YOUR HELP WHEN THEY.DON'T!"

'She can't help us, or do anything'
