Friends(Hisoka x Reader x Illumi)

Chapter24:Nightmares

I woke up hearing the sound of groaning and quick movements on the side of me. I opened my eyes, sitting up and seeing Killua making all the movements and sounds. I could tell he was having a nightmare right now. His veins were showing a bit and the way he moved was as if he was strapped down by somebody, not to mention sweat covering his head as it moved side to side. "But I want friends''. I hear killua say. I lean in a little more to hear what he's saying. "Illumi". I raise an eyebrow when hearing illumi's name. "Don't kill them?!, no no, STOP"

"Killua?" I say. I reached over and touched his arm, causing him to sit up quickly. He was panting fast and heavily at the moment. He was staring at nothing while his body trembled in fear. "Killua are you alright?". He responds saying. "Yea..I'm good". I knew he was lying, I could see and hear the fear in him, especially his voice which sounded low and dry. "Did you have a nightmare?" I ask him. Even though it was obvious I wanted him to know that I'm genuinely concerned and want to know what happened, which is true, since I've never seen killua have one of these.

"No". "Lies, you're shaking right now". Killua didn't say anything in response. You see that killuas still sweating, which could explain why his voice sounded so dry or caught up in something. "Okay well I'll just get you some water, you look dehydrated". I start to get up but then felt a grip on the bottom of my shirt. "No..I don't need it". I look at him. "Well I'll get it in-". The grip on my shirt gets tighter. "PLEASE..don't leave please". This poor child, the things he has and had to go through just make me wanna hold him and protect him. He doesn't deserve any of this, no child should, it's not fair to them. Especially being poisoned, torchered or even abused for nothing.

I sat back down and leaned on the head board of the bed. "Killua I know you had a nightmare, so tell me what happened" I really wanted to know what happened since illumi's name was brought up. Killua turned his head and said "Nothing happened". I knew he was trying to brush this all off. Even though me and Killua were close, that didn't exactly mean he told me everything. Sometimes when he did hide things I would usually drop the curiosity and leave it alone, wanting to respect his privacy unlike his family who would fuck him up if he were found crying, or even trembling from something like this telling him assassins don't fear anything.

"Killua, look at me," I said, turning my head towards him. He shook his head. I reached over and grabbed his face gently. "Look at me". Killua's eyes averted to mine. I could now clearly see the tears run down his cheeks, drops of water setting in the blanket. I took my shirt and wiped his eyes. "Tell me," i Said. "It was Illumi, he-" killua wipes his face of the tears that start to form in his eyes. "He took you guys away from me. Gon,you,leorio and kurapika. I tried to do something but I couldn't. I was-" his voice cracked a bit. "I was too weak". Killua had broken down at this point. Tears coming and not stopping.

I grabbed Killua, wrapping my arms around him tightly. He didn't hesitate to hug back, but tighter than me. I could feel him gripping my shirt, like they were locked on to me. "Don't worry killua it was a dream none of it was real and never will be". I heard sniffles from him. "Y/n please please please don't let it happen, I don't wanna see my only friends die, especially you". He was shaking even more at this point, every part of him was shaking in fear. I held his head closer to me. "Shh it's okay me or the others aren't going anywhere, and I'll make sure of it".

"Y/n" he says. I hum in response. "Can you..kiss my head". I tell him look up, I lift the hair in front of his head and kiss it. Killua placed his head back on me, I then started rubbing circles on his back slowly and gently. After a while I noticed he was sleeping since there was no more shaking and his breathing was calm now. I looked at the window seeing that it was still dark outside. "Must be 3 something in the morning". I then close my eyes and fall asleep as well.

I open my eyes and look down seeing killua still wrapped around my body. I look at my phone and see it's 10:00am. I sigh and start rubbing killua's head. Sometimes I did this to wake him up. It always worked and came in handy at times. Killua slowly wakes up but doesn't move from me. "Are you Alright?". I ask with concern. "Mhmm" he said tiredly. I smile and get curious about where Gon was, since he and Killua are always together. I then yell Gon's name. "GON!". I hear a tired voice from below the bed say. "Yes". I look around in confusion. "Gon are you on the floor?!" I ask

The boy responded with a lazy yes. "Boi get off the floor". Gon stands up rubbing his eye and hops on the edge of the bed next to me. "Gon why are you on the floor?". I question him. Gon didn't look like he would be able to give me a response seeing as his eyelids kept opening and closing slowly. "Because kil-". Gon's eyes started to close, he leaned back almost falling backwards off the bed. I quickly reached over, grabbing the boy's shirt and bringing him back forward. "Bruh" I said, almost having my heart jump out of my chest.

Gon tried getting up but ended up leaning on my shoulder, I looked down and saw Killua had gone back to sleep. I sigh. Sometimes taking care of these two meant having to really watch over them, yea they were a bit strong but sometimes they weren't the strongest in some situations, so you have to jump in and save them or help them which wasn't a problem it's just sometimes they really did the stupidest things that would make my blood boil, but hey they're children so you have to do what you gotta do to protect them.

Author's Note:aye I haven't uploaded in such a while, man I suck, I be doing y'all dirty, I'm working on the next chapter,might post it who knows
