A black car had pulled up in front of me as I sat on the bench. I looked up seeing them roll the window down. It was Ricky. I quickly wiped my eyes and made my way to the car. I put my seatbelt on as Ricky drove off. "So kid where are we off too?". I looked at my legs now. "I just wanna go home". Ricky nodded his head. "what happened this time? Seems like you just went threw the worst break up in your life". I didn't respond, I just sat in silence now fidgeting with my fingers. I heard a sigh from Ricky. "Something with you and your friend huh?". He said, rolling his window down.
I looked up at him slowly. "How'd you know?". My voice was in a quiet tone now. Ricky looked at me through the rear view mirror a little. "I just do, now what happened? If you don't wanna talk it's cool". "No it'd be nice to discuss this with someone who can understand what's being said". I saw Ricky chuckle a little. "Sheesh kid is it really that bad?". I nodded my head at him. "Well...He said these things about not needing me, along with how nobody needs my help and how I screw everything up". There was once again a tear rolling down my face. "I mean everything was going right and then he just out of the blue asked me why I did what I did yesterday and, i was honest about just wanting to help then he went off telling me how I could've gotten hurt and how it was selfish and dumb...but that's not what hurt the most..." rickys eyes were on the road.
"Then what was it?". Ricky said. "His eyes were red..I could feel the hatred piercing right through me at that moment...Ricky..I think kurapika...hates me". I could feel the tears flowing so smoothly down my cheeks, i didn't hesitate to cry right then and there. I wiped my eyes so fast and hard that it started to hurt. "Here kid". I looked up seeing Ricky's hand holding up a box of tissues. I grabbed them, taking some out and wiping my eyes. "Thank you Ricky". "Listen kid, i understand your pain, 100%, but here's the thing, he may have said these things out of something else". I looked at Ricky wiping my eyes. "What do you mean?".
"What I mean is I don't think he said those things out of hatred. Shit he probably didn't been mean to say any of that at all. I think this friend of yours was scared". "Scared of what?". I asked. "Scared of you getting hurt or getting in more danger then now, you did something that was kind of dumb and selfish, you came to the cab looking like ah criminal if you really think about it, if anybody else saw you, who knows what could've happened? And that's what THEY were scared of. You getting in so much danger and trouble to the point where he might lose you. His clan was slaughtered, he had nobody, no family, no nothing left".
I placed my arms around my shoulders hugging my body. "Now that he has you, and whoever else, it's scary seeing somebody that he cares about do something so dangerous and careless like that. Not to mention it's more irritating on the other hand when they don't SEE why the other person is on their ass about it. Y/n he doesn't hate you, it's just worry and being afraid of losing you, he cares about you deeply and lashed out when you didint see why what you did was so dumb. His words didn't come out the right way..so please know this. He needs you but he doesn't need you to put yourself in the most dumbest situations, especially for him". "Bu-". "Yes I know you want to help, but don't help in the most dumbest ways, your gonna give him a heart attack". Ricky reached his hand over and plucked my forehead.
"Ow". I rubbed my forehead. "So do you hear what I'm saying?". Ricky said. "Yeah..i actually do". It really did make sense now, Kurapika didn't mean what he said, he could never hate me, it was just his mixed emotions on the situation. I felt guilty now knowing that I did something so dumb and Didn't realize it. I mean I've always wanted to be a help since I could never be to her or them. It was an urge to help others or at least not be a nuisance to people. "Thank you Ricky I feel so much better right now, you're the best". I pat him on the shoulder softly and smiled.
Ricky smiled back still smoking that cigarette of his. Sheesh it's like it'll never end one after one, well at least he rolled down the window. I then saw that it started to rain. Ricky quickly rolled the window up. "Damn Rain". He said putting his cigarette out on the ashtray. "I hope the others are okay or aren't wet or anything". I grabbed my phone and decided to call leorio. I wanted to make sure they were all okay. The phone rang for a bit but then eventually he picked up.
L-Oreo💙:y/n where are you?! And why didnt I see you with the others today?! Me:uhh something happened and I had to leave early unfortunately, hehe sorry L-Oreo💙: don't Tell me your in the rain Me:no no I'm in a car safe and sound, nothing to worry about L-Oreo💙: with? Me:Leorio I'm safe that's all that matters I then heard loud honking from the other end of the phone Me:seems like your caught up in a twist huh? L-Oreo💙:yea we're kinda in a bit of traffic, pretty bad out here I then heard some mumbling Gon: Y/n are you okay?! Me:yes I'll explain later L-Oreo💙:HEY WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! Me:what happened? L-Oreo💙:kurapika and gon just left out the car Me: where the bell could these two be going? Especially in this weather???? L-Oreo💙: to go after the spiders, i know it's crazy but it's a long story Me:Are you sure they're not roaches? It's like they never die, but do you know where they went? L-Oreo💙: to the hotel beitacle Me: thanks I quickly hung up the phone looking at Ricky. "Where's our new destination then kid". I smiled at him.
I need to do better with updating more chapters y'all really don't deserve these slow updates
