Welcome to Albertson University.

Or should I say, to hell.

Well, you might find me too pessimistic, but let me remind you: I am forced to go here.

First, because my tuition amd accomodations are free here since my dad is a university professor.

Second, my mom remarried so I don't want to live with her new husband.

Third, you see I have no choice because again, I would enjoy perks here.

It may sound great to some, but I expect my life here wouldn't be be great.

Because first, Dad and I lost the closeness we had after he and mom separated causing me to live away from him for five years.

Second, I would be living in the school dorms because Dad is living in the apartment for the teachers.

And third, uhm, I'm still thinking about the third reason.

"Seanne, have you packed everything you needee?" Dad asked me from the driver's seat. He picked me from the station, and we're now going to the university where I would be living.

I glanced at him and nodded. Beside him is Uncle Larry, another professor in Albertson. His son, Jayden, is a close friend of mine.

"Let her breathe, Sevy, your daughter already knows what to do, right, Sea?" Uncle Larry winked at me through the rear view mirror. He calls me 'Sea', which often makes Jayden laugh because he thinks I'm a shallow person so I should be called 'puddle'.

I gave him an okay sign. Uncle Larry is basically my favorite uncle, even though he is not a blood relative, he treats me as his daughter (he often says he wanted to have one but his wife doesn't want a third child). Always making Dad not to tell me off.

When I was a kid, I kind of envy Jayden for having such a cool father. Mine isn't that cool. Dad is strict and kind of boring. Well, I think it's because he is a History professor.

"Have you met Jayden?" uncle asked me.

"Your son's majoring in what, Lar?"

"Dance," Uncle Larry smiled at Dad. I knew he's the most supportive of his son, whom he expected to be a lawyer like his mom or a doctor like his older brother. But Jim who always wanted to flex his cool moves and abdominal muscles chose dancing as a lifetime career.

"How about you, Sea, what are you studying in AU?" Uncle asked me.

I saw Dad smiled.

"Culinary Arts, uncle."

Uncle Larry gaped at me, then laughed. "For real?" he asked Dad.

"Yes, I was shocked at first, because that girl couldn't even cook an egg--"
