Seanne's POV

"Thanks for your hard work today, Seanne," Mngr. Sid tapped me gently on the back. "You can go to sleep now. We'd be up early tomorrow."

I nodded and went to our villa. My roommates are already asleep. They seemed to be really tired. I took the pillows and the blanket from the top bunk and went to the receiving area. I think I'd sleep in the rattan sofa.

I took my phone from my bag and checked my messages.

2 missed calls and 5 unread messages from Kookie. All are from this afternoon.

Then a few messages from Julia asking me about the trip, a long text from Jayden telling me to behave. What am I? A kid?

I replied to each of them with a short message and a good night, before opening Kookie's message.

I have bought food for you]
[Never mind. I saw Lala gave you one.]

Ah. So the reason why he was handing me something this morning was this?

[Let's have dinner later together.]
[I'll find a way to have you by myself.]
[Why aren't you replying? You don't have your phone with you?]

I grinned.

[To: 🍪👹
Asleep? I'm sorry for unreplied msgs. I missed you the whole day.]

I sighed and waited for a reply. A few minutes passed and I thought he might be asleep already. Well, it's already past eleven.

When I placed my phone on the table, I saw the yellow tulip lying on it. Kookie's cold gaze flashed in my mind. I picked my phone again.

[To: 🍪👹
Hey, about what happened this evening. You didn't misunderstand right??]

"Why isn't he replying? Is he asleep?" I sighed and took my jacket. I went out. The lights on the main house are off. So Kookie's asleep? "I doubt it," I muttered to myself and went to the beach side.

The cold night air blew off to my face and I untied my hair. It's a silent evening. At a distance, I can see bonfires lit. They said that music and loud noise are not allowed after 10PM here, to lessen noise pollution. I sat on the sand.

Kookie still hasn't replied.

[To: 🍪👹
You must be sleeping already. I'm here outside, sitting by the beach.]

I placed my phone on the sand beside me and stared at the sea. The waves sound soothing to my ears.

"Seanne?"

I was startled, as someone suddenly sat beside me. It was Rion.

"Why are you alone here? Can't sleep?" He asked grinning.

"Yeah," I looked back at the sea.

"Me too." He took something from his side. A camera. "Want me to take photos of you?"

"Oh, no, I'm not photogenic," I said but he already had taken a shot.

He inspected the picture, "Who told you that? You look good, no joke." He showed it to me.

"I look... quite ordinary," I said, remembering Yumi.

"What? Seanne, don't tell me you think you aren't pretty? Because you are."

I laughed, "Thank you for the compliment."

"Doesn't your boyfriend tell you that?"

I didn't answer.
