••Kookie's POV
[Is she okay?] I averted my eyes from Yerin's message and looked at Seanne who is sleeping on the hospital bed. I replied a shot 'yes' and pulled my chair closer to her bed.
Thankfully, she only got a mild fever and colds, but what the doctor told me is still worrisome. "She needs to see her therapist. I personally know Professor Park, and I happen to know Dr. Nielsen who treated her before. I already contacted her, she would be here first thing tomorrow."
"A therapy," I muttered and stared at her face. "How bad must it be?"
She frowned, and moaned as if she's in pain. "N-No... S-Silence it..."
"Seanne?" I called and gently patted her on the shoulder.
She opened her eyes and stared around her. Then she looked at me, "Kookie? Hey—are you okay?"
I froze. She's asking me if I am okay, when she's the one lying on a hospital bed?
I gritted my teeth and looked away, "Yeah."
"Thank goodness. I thought those paparazzi abducted you." She gave a laugh that sounds like a snort. I looked back at her.
God. She's smiling.
"Why do you look at me like that?" she asked me and sat up. She frowned at the IV connected to her right hand. "Sheez, I hate needles."
I wanted to say something to her, but I just stared at her face. I don't know, there is something heavy in my stomach as she stared back at me.
"What?" she said, frowning deeper, "Wait, is it really you and Yerin on that article?"
I clenched my fist, "Why are you asking?!"
She was shocked at my retort. "Is it wrong to ask? I'm just worried. Julia said you're roasted online—"
"Why are you worried about me when it's you who are sick?!" I said standing up.
She stared at me with disbelief, mouth slightly open, then she scowled. "Fine. I won't be worried! No need to be angry okay?"
"It's because—" I unclenched my fists and sat back again. "I'm not angry. I'm just... I'm sorry it's my fault it happened to you."
Her scowl turned into a smirk, "Did I just hear you right, Kookie Alistair?"
"I'm serious here," I sighed. "The doctor said you need therapy." Her smile faltered. "How serious is it, Seanne?"
It took several seconds before she spoke again, then she smiled. "Maybe it's just because I'm stressed lately. It happens, and I think I can manage it."
"But you fainted! You were so scared, I thought something bad happened to you."
She shook her head, "You know what, I think it's you who need to talk to a doctor, are you sick?"
