Saturday morning I hoped the rain is falling so I won't get out.
Still feeling quite dizzy with sleepiness, I went out of the dorm. Julia had called me several times since 5:00AM, telling me that we should not be late. Jayden also texted me just to ask if we would be grabbing breakfast first. I haven't replied to him yet.
Ding.
The elevator door opened at the 6th floor, and a guy entered. He is wearing black oversized jacket, ripped jeans, a faded blue baseball cap, and black face mask. He didn't show the sign he saw me, he kept his eyes on the number showing the floor. I saw several tattoos on his right arm.
I wonder what a guy is doing in the girls' dorm at 6:28AM?
But since I know I must not mind other people's business, I contented myself on looking at my phone. There's no signal.
I was about to raise my phone to see if I can get at least one bar when the elevator gave a sudden sickening jolt; and being the unprepared person I was, I fell sideways, into the guy who is standing beside me.
He gave a loud cry of pain as my full weight toppled him over.
I am fully aware how close we are, but it was when I moved when I realized he was lying in a dangerous position---his left arm at an odd angle and his legs bent awkwardly.
"Argh!" He groaned and I stood, quite feeling panic because the elevator light blinked several times.
"Are you alright?" I asked, and held him on the left arm.
He jerked his arm and glared at me.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to fall onto you---"
"How much have you been eating?" he muttered with clear annoyance as he struggled to stand. He held his left wrist and moved it clockwise, counterclockwise. It is evident on his face tha it hurts.
"I haven't had breakfast yet--" I began but then I realized what he is implying. I gaped at him and he moved to the door and pressed open. I walked towards him, "What do you mean with that?!" I asked angrily.
He gave me a frowning glance but said nothing.
"Hey!" I tapped his left shoulder--
"Ouch!" He glared at me, "Do you really want me to get injured?"
"S-Sorry... But you shouldn't have said mean things okay? I didn't intend to fall---"
The elevator jolted again, and I grabbed him by reflex. This time, it's his neck that my hand reached.
"Move away will you!" he said and pressed the button again.
