Seanne's POV

[From: Dad
Come to my office after your exam.]

I went out the room while reading Dad's message. After that talk we had when he apologized to me, I thought our relationship would change. But I was wrong. Maybe the father-daughter bond we had back then could not be rebuilt. But what is he going to tell me?

"Bye, Seanne!" My classmates waved at me as I turn to the opposite direction. I waved back at them.

Then my phone vibrated. Mngr. Ysidro is calling. I quickly swiped to accept.

"Seaaaaanne!"

I put my phone at arm's length away from my ear when Mngr. Sid shouted my name. "Sir...?"

"Your exams end today right?"

Why do I have an ominous feeling with this question?

"Yes, sir. I have just finished my last practical exam," I said and looked at the paper bag of cookies I have baked.

"Greeeaaaattt! You will come with us to Malapascua Islaaaaand!!!"

"W-What?!?!"

"You heard me! We'll have an out of town triiiiiiiip~"

"But what about my classes--"

"Don't worry, I'll have both of you excused on Monday!"

"What?!"

"Seanne, don't pretend. I know you want to be excused from classes, ahihihi!"

( -_-) But I'm not having a vacation. I'm going to be an errand girl for sure.

"We will go there tomorrow at 4AM so be ready to take off early. Okay?"

I sighed. It seemed like I would not be able to refuse. "Alright, Sir. I'll prepare my things..."

"Very nice! I'll hand out your excuse letters first thing today! Byeeee~"

I put my phone back into my bag and resumed walking. It's good that I'll be meeting Dad. I might as well ask permission. I just hope he would agree without any questions. Anyway, if Mngr. Ysidro will give an excuse letter, he may not have violent reactions.

I knocked on the door before opening it.

"Puds!"

I was surprised to see Jayden who is sitting cozily in front of Dad's desk. I sat opposite him and looked at Dad. "What is it, Dad?"

Jayden grinned, "I asked Uncle Sevy to let us go to Nicole's party tonight."

"Nicole?" I glanced from Jayden to Dad.

"She has invited us. The whole class will be there," he looked uncomfortable. "I already told them we could not come but she insisted we'll be the only ones not coming so... I went here to tell Uncle Sevy."

"Seanne," Dad said and I looked at him, "You have just finished the exam. You can relax. You can also stay with your Mom during the weekend. I'll just fetch both of you tomorrow."

I bit my lower lip in hesitation. Uh-oh. I'm going out of town tomorrow until Monday... What should I tell Dad?

"Er... Dad," I cleared my throat and grinned uncertainly. "Actually I--"

"Don't tell me you won't come?" Jayden said suddenly, "Why? Are you going to spend the weekend somewheremphsfff--" I covered his mouth.

"Of course I am going with you!" I laughed and glared at him. "Dad, I'm going. Uhm, I'll just--"
