Seanne's POV

I faced him and said in a low voice, "I am not someone you'd like, Kookie. And you're someone I shouldn't like, so let us both agree to this termination."

"No. I don't want," he said stubbornly, "Seanne. You know I like someone else, but... won't you... make me yours?"

I gaped at him. WHAT he is saying right now is ridiculous.

He laughed noiselessly, then ruffled his hair. "Sorry."

He started the car and made a U-turn. He did not say anything else, and when we stopped in front of the school gate, he just rapped his fingers at the steering wheel.

I unbuckled my seatbelt, then looked at him. "Kookie."

"Look, forget what I've told you," he said without looking at me. "I just got caught in my emotions."

I sighed, "I know. Just rest, and maybe, you should apologize to manager Ysidro." I went out the car and watched him go.

Yerin approached me the moment I opened the door, "How is Kookie?"

"He's fine," I answered and went straight to my bed. I suddenly felt so tired.

Thankfully, Yerin did not ask anymore. So my mind was able to wander freely.

"Seanne. You know I like someone else, but... won't you... make me yours?"

I scoffed. Make him mine? What is he thinking?

Maybe I should have sent him to the hospital.

My phone vibrated. [🍪👹calling...]

My heart thumped loudly and I have debated whether I'd answer or not.

I blew off my breath and swiped to accept, "What?" I can feel my heart hammering uncomfortably inside my chest.

"I'm home."

WHY IS HE CALLING JUST TO TELL THIS?!

"Oh, well, that's... great." I looked at the ceiling.

"I'm sorry we didn't eat before going home," he muttered.

"It's fine, I'm not yet hungry." My stomach growled.

He did not speak for a few seconds, but I can hear him breathing.

"Uhm, have you called Mngr. Ysidro?"

"Not yet. I just texted him I'm home."

"What if they got angry at you?"

I heard him chuckle, "That's for sure. I'm going to get an earful tomorrow."

"Good for you," I said and watched two lizards near the light bulb.

"You still want the contract terminated?"

I bit my tongue. "I'm not actually sure."

"Just wait, they won't terminate it," he chuckled again. "By the way, what time are you sleeping?"

"Why do you ask?" I raised my right hand and moved it playfully.

"Remember when I told you I'd help you find music again?"

I groaned my assent.

"I thought of an effective therapy," he said.

"Okay, what is that?"

"You want to hear it now?"

"Play music and I'll hang up," I joked.

"No, I won't," he said and cleared his throat. "I can think... of all the times—"
