Seanne's POV

I laughed as I sat down beside Julia in the lecture hall. We have different courses, she's taking up fashion design. But we took this same elective subject so at least we can be classmates. My schedule almost jive with hers, so we can have time to spend together.

"What?" Julia whispered to me.

I waved at her not to mind me.

"I'm just so happy with the topic," I answered.

Julia turned to me in shock, "Our topic is about malnutrition."

I stopped grinning and focused on Professor Miller who is explaining about severe cases of malnutrition in several parts of the world.

Actually, it was not the topic I'm happy about, but what happened this morning.

"You really want me injured, right?!" Kookie Alistair said tearfully while holding his left wrist.

"I'm sorry! It's your fault anyway--" I reached for his wrist and massaged it gently.

"Why do you always say sorry then blaming me after?" He grimaced as I pressed it a bit hard. "Ouch!"

I laughed, "Sorry!"

"You enjoy seeing me in pain huh?" He tried reaching for my head with his right hand but I pressed his left wrist again, "Aww-- stop!"

"Ffft---fine, I won't do it again."

I covered my mouth to stifle my laughter at reminiscing what happened. I felt Julia nudge me so I looked at her.

She jerked her head, motioning me to look in front. So I did.

And I saw Prof. Miller looking at me with hands on his both waists.

"So," he said, resuming his pace, "it seems that Ms. Park has something fun to tell us. Please stand, Ms. Park, and share what you have in mind. Just make sure it's about the topic or I'll give you a red mark for your first recitation."

I gulped as I stand slowly. My classmates are looking at me curiously. Julia gave me an encouraging nod.

"Uhm..." I took a deep breath and looked at the image projected on screen. It's a bar graph with no labels. "I-I was..."

"You were daydreaming?" Prof. Miller snapped, "You were not listening?" he wrote something on his class record, then looked back at me. "Sit down. Talk to me after class... Class, I know this is just an elective subject for you, but remember you won't graduate if you fail it."

I nodded, and sat back. I just wanted to vanish right now. It's the first day, yet I was told off this early.

Karma. I almost hear and see Kookie laughing.

Tss. With me or not, that guy really brings me only bad luck.

At the end of the class, I walked to Prof Miller who is now arranging his books. Julia mouthed that she's waiting for me later at lunch. We have another subject after this, but it's a separate class.

"Sir," I muttered to get his attention.

He looked at me and adjusted his round spectacles. He looks much older near, but much fiercer. He might be older than my dad.

"You're Prof. Park's daughter," he said and crossed his arms.

"Yes, Sir." I hope this won't get tp Dad...

"What a surprise," he said. "I thought you were better."

I looked down on my feet.

"You know why I show graphs with no label? Because I want everyone to listen."
