Seanne's POV

"Seanne, are you okay?"

I stepped away from Gian and held my head, I'm slightly dizzy but the buzzing is gone.

He had pulled me out of the gym, and I knew I might have collapsed there if he hadn't.

"Thanks, Gian..."

He was about to touch my forehead when someone pulled me by the arm away from him. "Hey, get off her!"

I looked back at Jayden to tell him not to shout but my eyes fell on the person walking back to the gym.

Kookie. So he saw me? And now he's turning back?

"I told you to keep away from her, right? Why are you--" Jayden angrily muttered, but I held his arm.

"JD!" I tugged at his arm, "Will you calm down?"

"Tss. So what, you're taking his side now?" he frowned at me.

I sighed, "Don't be unreasonable." I removed my hand from his arm and walked away.

Gian followed me. "I'll walk you to the dorm."

"Seanne! Hey! Come back!" Jayden shouted. "Fine! I'll mind my own business!"

I looked back again to see if Kookie is still there, but he wasn't. I can't believe I just wasted my time...

Yet I am here. Tch.

Fine, I'll be the first one to step up and talk. I've seen so much from my parents' relationship to end up like that.

I pushed the practice room door open and peeked inside. Kookie is not here.

I sighed. He must have been angry. Well, I didn't expect that Gian would help me. Anyway, I wouldn't be in that situation if he did not ignore my call.

Sighing, I pulled the door close—

"Why are you here?"

I jumped and almost fell over because of shock. "Kookie!"

He pursed his lips and went inside. I followed him.

"Hey!" I called, but he did not even look at me.

I drew a deep breath so I can extend my patience. I opened my bag and took out the notes I had taken for him. "Here are the things you have to do. And we'll have a quiz in Prof. Miller next meeting so be sure to study the chapters I listed." I handed them to him.

"Put it on the table," he muttered and went to stand in the middle of the dance floor.

The song played.

It must be his new song.

I went to the speaker and turned it off.

"What?!" he said stubbornly, a deep frown on his forehead. He walked towards the speaker.

"Can we talk? You're ignoring me ever since this afternoon, and now you're acting up?" He turned his back on me, but I continued, this time I'm literally speaking on top of my lungs. "Were you upset that Gian helped me? Why, was that my fault? Did I ask for it? You know what, I have things to do too, but I went there because you told me, then I went here and spent time just to meet and talk to you and you'll just turn your back on me?!"

He stared at me and coughed, and when he spoke, he's stuttering. "I-I'm s-sorry—I was—it's not like that— Sorry..."

"Tsh." I threw the notes on the table. "I'm going. Let's talk once you're reasonable enough."
