Where are you?]

I rushed out of the taxi and ran to the van waiting for me.

"I'm so sorry!" I said the moment I arrived in front of the stressed Manager Ysidro. He just waved a hand at me and went on talking to the phone. I grinned, it seemed like I wasn't the cause of his stress.

"What?! You forgot to buy—what? Minette, just come here we'll manage to get those freakin' flowers somehow—you're asking how? Just come here!" I heard Mngr. Ysidro exclaimed in frustration as I get into the van.

"Hey," Kookie grinned and pat the seat beside him. I saw the make-up artist and the stylist glance at me. I smiled at them and went straight to sit at the very back seat just behind them. Kookie looked back at me with a frown that very much shows he didn't like where I went.

I immediately composed a text.

[Can't sit there obviously.]

I glanced at him and grinned quickly before putting the hood of my jacket up. I'm still so sleepy, I haven't had a decent sleep since my roommate kept going in and out of the bathroom and I get startled every time she slammed the door. I wanted to ask her if she got an upset stomach but I never heard the toilet flush.

I was about to sleep when the passenger door opened and Mngr. Ysidro got in, sitting at Kookie's immediate right. Another woman came and sat in the passenger seat, then the driver came. Our seating arrangement is like this: the driver, an unknown woman, behind her is Mngr. Ysidro, Kookie on the left, the makeup artist and stylist, and me behind them. There is still a space good for two people at the back, but what's beside me are bags and boxes.

The van drove off, and I looked out the window. It's my first time going to that island, and it is a five-hour drive from here to the pier and a twenty-minute to an hour (depending on weather conditions) boat ride to the island. Even though I know I would be just doing errands there, the very prospect of seeing the ocean and inhaling fresh sea air after a hectic exam week makes me feel surprisingly excited.

I was about to close my eyes when my phone beeped.

I want to sit beside you]

I looked up in front and saw only the back of his seat. Sighing, I replied.

[We can't... Just sleep.]

I put my phone in silent mode and slid it in my bag before sleeping.

I slept so good and only woke up when I felt a slight tap on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and saw Kookie's face. He grinned and motioned me to go out.

"We're at the pier," he said and took my bag.

"I can carry it," I said pulling it from him and distancing myself. Mngr. Ysidro came and ushered him to the boat first.

He looked at me but said nothing. I helped the others carry the boxes which I think contain the clothes.

"So you're the PA? I'm Lala," Ms. Makeup Artist said, and pointed at the stylist who got in the boat before us, "she's Claire. And the one following Mngr. Sid is Minette, she's the hairstylist."

"I'm Seanne," I muttered. I got in after her, again sitting far from Kookie. His frown got deeper by the minute, and his manager noticed this.

I contented myself staring out into the ocean.

When was the last time I had been this close to the waves? I felt the warm wind on my face, it's 10AM afterall and the sun is up. The sky is a bright shade of blue, with little clouds.
