Seanne's POV
"Seanne?"
I turned around and saw Gian walking towards me.
"Who's that?" Kookie asked.
My heart started to beat fast as I muttered under my breath.
"Gian... " I said and lowered my phone, "Hey, I'll call you later."
I ended the call and looked directly at Gian who is now standing in front of me.
"I'm glad you came," he said and went to stand by the well. "Is this a wishing well?"
I glanced at him. Shall I go inside now? But if I were to choose between Gian and listening to music...
I guess I'm more ready to face this guy right now.
Besides, I would be facing him sooner or later so avoiding him now won't matter.
I turned to look too, "Yeah."
He got something from his pocket, a coin. "Got a wish?" he glanced at me with a smile.
He hasn't changed much. He still got that cold demeanor, but there's still warmth in his smile.
"Say your wish," he said, "I have another coin here."
"I don't have any wish..." I said and kept my gaze down the well.
"Okay, I'll make a wish." He put the coin near his mouth and muttered soundlessly, then he threw it into the well. A soft splash of water told us it had hit the bottom. "You remember that well behind the school?"
I didn't say anything. But I do remember... That's the place where...
Gian continued, "Whenever I think of that place, I only feel regret, Seanne."
Now this is something I didn't expect. I looked at him with a frown.
"Regret?" I scowled, "You told me your dream back then, when we were standing near that well. You didn't seem regretful as I recall."
I still remember what he said...
"I want to focus on playing, Seanne. I want to be drafted for the national team..."
"Yeah, I told you that... But then..." he faced me and reached for my hand, "I lost you."
"I got no time for your love, Seanne. I'm sorry. Go love someone else who would accept you."
I glowered at him. "Lost me? You pushed me away, remember?"
"Seanne--"
I moved away from him, pulling my hand off his grip, "I was honest with what I told you, I was sincere when I said I love you, but you called me childish. And you know why I confessed to you, Gian? Because you kept showing me signs that the feeling was mutual!"
