Seanne's POV

Monday
Lunch

I sighed and returned the phone to Julia. She looked at me with worry, but said nothing. The picture of Jayden who is obviously confronting Kookie has been shared thousands of times online. Though it's just a photo, I have an idea what could have possibly been their topic.

I clenched my fists. I wanted to get angry at Jayden, but...

"Seanne, he's just concerned... he always has the best intention."

"I know," I muttered. That's why I can't get angry at him. Because I know he did that out of concern.

"Do you want me to talk to him?"

I shook my head, "It's okay. I'll talk to him myself... Did you say he is at the gym every afternoon?"

Julia nodded, "Yep. They're rehearsing nonstop... Ah, Kookie rehearses too, every MWF."

I stood and took my bag, "I'll get going. You said you have something to do after class?"

"Mmm. It's about the Arts Fest."

"I guess you'll be busy too."

"Quite." Julia grinned. "Seanne?"

Julia looked like she's hesitant to continue. I waited.

She sighed, "Erm... Seanne, you see... I have a friend who is in the Production Committee for the Fest. She said they still need people from several departments who can perform... Your department doesn't have one still..."

"No," I said flatly.

Julia grinned apologetically, "Yeah, I expect that reaction."

"I don't even know if I would attend that event," I muttered.

"But Kookie would perform—," she sighed, "Right. I'd just record his performance for you."

I nodded. "I'll get going. See you!" I waved and went away.

The moment I was out of Julia's sight, I stopped.

I would definitely want to watch Kookie perform. But then... I'm not sure if I can.

My phone vibrated. Kookie sent a message. He was absent again today.

[From: 🍪👹
Can we meet after class? I have to attend the rehearsal there. I miss you.]

I sighed and replied.

[Sure. I need to give you your notes too. I saw the pic. You okay?]

He didn't reply. I think he's too busy.

Afternoon passed and dismissal came with me thinking about that Arts Fest. I want to attend, but how if I'm still having breakdowns.

When the bell rang, I went to the gym, since it's where Julia said the rehearsals take place. As I walk, I kept asking myself: Shall I ask Dr. Nielsen for therapy sessions? That's what Mom wants so I guess she'd agree to it... But would the therapy be effective? I mean it only helped me cope with the attacks but not totally removed it—

"Seanne!" Someone grabbed hold of my shoulders from behind and I almost shouted in shock.

I was a step away from the closed door of the gym.

"Are you okay?"

I don't need to look who saved me from bumping onto the door. I know Gian's voice.

I stepped away from him, and faced him with a small smile, "Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks, Gian."

He removed his hands from me, and smiled. "You seem to be in a deep thought. Ah... do you have some time to spare? Can we talk?"
