***Seanne's POV

I still have flashes of the memories when I last watched the sunrise on a beach some ten or twelve years ago. I was with my mom and dad then, when I thought we'd be a whole family for the rest of our lives.

Well, there's no use crying over that now. I think I'm okay.

Mom and Dad may have their own lives now, and I'm just a part of it. A little proof of the connection that was once theirs.

I examined my feelings. Right, I can still feel a bit resentment but I think I can accept it wholeheartedly some time soon. After all, healing takes time. At least, Dad acknowledged it now.

"Good morning!" Julia greeted me as she half-ran towards me, bits of sand spraying around from her feet. She stopped panting beside me, "The boys are still sleeping."

I snorted, "Jayden's a sleeper. He can survive a day without going out of bed. Kookie needs rest. After this, he'd be back on the tight schedule."

"Yeah, I think so too. It's really a good thing we did this trip," she beamed at me. Then turned to stare at the yellowing horizon, stretching her arms over her head. "The sun's out. How long have you been standing here?"

"I've been up here since the crack of dawn," I answered without removing my eyes from the sea.

When in the beach, I love waiting for the sun to come out. It's always a fun thing to watch the sky slowly change from pitch black to pinkish glow with gold and yellow to blue. Add the cool, fresh morning sea air, and you'd have a vision of a lifetime. It feels like I'm watching an orchestra—an unheard music done by the sea and the sky.

I closed my eyes and sniffed through the air, filling my lungs with cold air. I looked around, some people loading a boat which will be back to town, and some are going down from a new boat that arrived. Then my heart almost skipped a bit--Did I just see Gian?

I blinked my eyes and looked carefully again. Maybe I'm just sleepy. How would he be here when he doesn't even know I'm here?... Or even if he does, why would he be here? I made it clear what's between us...

"—girlfriends before?"

My attention turned to Julia, "Sorry?"

She's blushing a bit, and is holding her long hair to keep it from being blown all over her head by the wind. "I was asking if Jayden had girlfriends before."

"Yes, he had one back in high school, it lasted for more than a year." I racked my memories to recall the time when I first saw Jayden infatuated. "I don't think he's in love though. He's just so infatuated with her."

"What is she like?"

"She's a dancer, they're on the same dance team. Jayden's easily attracted to girls who has, as what he calls, 'the moves'," I stared at her, "Why do you ask?"

"Nothing, was just curious," she laughed. I raised an eyebrow. Then she shrugged, "He told me he likes someone."

"Really?" I nodded. "Jayden likes someone? Oh, I bet that's just the girl in his dance troupe he was talking about. Their leader, I think. What's the name...? Lily? Layla?"

"Lali?"

"Yeah, that one. He said she's the best dancer he has ever seen," I smirked. "But I bet he can confess. You know, he's someone who cannot say what he really feels."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, when Jayden really likes a girl, he cannot tell her easily," I laughed a bit.

Julia fell quiet. I nudged her, "Why are you suddenly interested in Jayden's love life?"

"Me? Oh, no I'm not interested, just a bit curious... Anyway," she nudged me back a bit harder, "I got an awesome idea of what to do later."
