Kookie's POV

I dialled Seanne's number as I watch her classmates walk out of the room. It's dismissal time, but why is she not answering?

I think everyone has already gone out, and I cannot see her yet.

"Hi, Kookie!" a girl I don't know greeted. This was followed by giggles and whispers.

"Hello," I greeted back. I looked past her into the room. Didn't she come to class?

Seanne, where are you?

"Can I have a picture with you?" the girl continued to ask. My eyes trailed down her ID. Arielle Lee.

"Sure," I said and let her stand in front of me and held up her phone. She took a selfie. But as I expected, more followed her.

Soon, they are all swarming around me.

"Me, too!"
"Kookie I'm a big fan!"
"OMG! Can you you sign this poster?"
"I love you, Kookie!"
"Kookie, please sign here!"

I coughed as a guy (well, I think he's gay) pulled up his shirt and said I should sign his on abdomen.

Laughter burst from everywhere. I don't know if I should sign or what.

"Hey guys, you should give him personal space."

I sighed in relief and wheeled around to see who my savior is.

I smiled as our eyes met.

Yerin grinned and walked towards me. "How's your arm?"

"Oh my gosh! Did she just talk to him casually?!"
"She's Yerin Javier right?"
"Are they close or is she just delirious?!"

I cleared my throat and held Yerin's left elbow, and whispered to her, "Come on. It's suffocating here."

I heard gasps. When I looked back, some of them are fanning themselves with their hands. A few are eyeing us suspiciously. And I can see two or three phones on us.

This is bad.

"Why did you do that?" Yerin asked when we are at an empty corridor.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"You held me and pulled me away. You know this can be an issue right?"

I nodded, "Well, you talked to me first."

"You should have run for it the moment everyone's attention is on me. But anyway," she sighed, "Are you looking for Seanne?"

"Yeah."

"I saw her with her Dad. Professor Sevy, I mean." She looked at me intently. "Does her father know about your relationship with her?"

I wanted to ask her why she's asking this, but nothing came out my mouth.

"Does your father know?"

"Yerin--"

"Kookie, I am saying this out of concern. Well, I am concerned for both of you," she stepped forward and held my uninjured arm. "When we both had this... I mean, those times we were close and I thought you were mine." She laughed, "You insisted everything must be kept in secret. You said it's for both of us. You said it's for me. I thought at first it's fine. But honestly, if I will look back to it, I think I have been relieved it all ended."

I felt as if a something big hit me on the chest.

"Kookie, it's hard to live in fear and worry. That someone might find out. That someone might get hurt. I constantly wake up in the morning scared, I feel anxious to watch the news or scroll through social media. What if there's a scandal? What if we're caught?"
