I'm learning, I'm learning about Kneeling

Before the world was ever made the Lord had created the heavens and all heavenly hosts and being, but even so the place where he dwells has always been. In Revelations Chapter 4 we are blessed to have a preview of the throne room of our God Almighty, his throne is surrounded by 24 other thrones for the elders, clothed in white robes with crowns of gold on their head.

In the midst of the throne and around the thrones are 4 living creature, day and night they worship God saying "Holy, holy holy, Lord God almighty, who was and is to come. Whenever the creatures exalt God the elders fall down and worship Revelations 4:10 "the 24 elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne".

We see the act of worship by the elders, FALL DOWN, in this position they were able to cast their crowns before him. The heavenly beings existed way before the Lord God created man, so the act of worship was already established by these beings. Kneeling and bowing was created for the glory and the honor of God most high.

Kneeling and bowing face down is the most respectful way to show reverence to God Almighty. There is nothing else that we can give him, no money no jewel, nothing material for he has created everything in the heavens above and on the earth below. What more does he need when all the riches and glory is his. So what more can we give him than the respect and worship that he rightfully deserves.

Nehemiah 9:6 "You alone are the Lord; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and everything on it. The seas and all that is in them and you preserve them all. The host of heaven WORSHP you"

The devil known as Lucifer wanted to be like God, he fell with 1/3 of the angels known as the greatest rebellion of all time. Lucifer was beautiful to behold but he was consumed with pride Isaiah 14: 13 for you have said in your heart; I will ascend into heaven; I will exalt my throne above the stars of God...

Because Lucifer wanted to be like God, he wanted everything given to God be his, the glory, the honor, the adoration and the worship. Unfortunately for him he lost and was thrown out of heaven but in doing so he replicated the style of worship for himself.

Now we see it used widely in other religions worshiping anything apart from the Living God is basically an idol and is of the devil. So the act of kneeling and bowing was made by God and for God. Our God is creative Lucifer is not, he is a created being, he twists the things of God for his glory, he is a copycat that abominates the things of God for his own use.

I heard one preacher say that you can pray anywhere, standing, sitting, lying down; technically he is right considering the scripture "1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing", I'm so happy that we can to talk to God anywhere and anytime but there is something about being prostrated on the floor before the Father that is POWERFUL.

Being in a kneeling position and bowing is a sign of humility, no one can kneel unless that have humility. Pride is the opposite of humility, thus Lucifer's fall. I learnt about this from Derrick Prince, a mighty servant of God, he spoke about humility saying that humility is something that God does not make you do; it is out of freewill that a man humbles himself. 1 Peter 1:6 ''Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time''.

Mordecai is a fantastic example of humility, he refused to bow to Haman "Esther 3:2 and all the king's savants who were within the king's gate servants bowed and paid homage to Haman, for so the king commanded concerning him. But Mordecai would not bow or pay homage" Mordecai refused to bow saying that he was a Jew and being a Jew means not bowing to anything else rather than God Almighty. He stood his ground, although he was hated by Haman who devised a plot to kill the Jews but because he stood his ground and honed God, the Lord horned Mordecai saved him then get this, H E WAS PROMOTED.

Kneeling is the act of humility, in this position there is something supernatural that happens to the individual, it is a position of vulnerability and desperation before God. This position somehow opens our eyes to see who we really are it's as if the veil of pride falls from our eyes.

We must converse with God anywhere and anytime, but there must be a time solely set aside for him, for proper worship, a time and place where we can be devoted to listen and learn from him. A scared spot, I tried this and believe me it works! it's the most beautiful time to be in the presence of the Father. Kneeling gets your BODY, SOUL and SPIRIT is in subjection to Gods will way and time. Kneeling is the safest place you can be, it keeps you humble. Without humility you cannot kneel.

We see in the Bible many servants of God who got on their knees and prostrated themselves either to talk to God or in times of worship, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David Solomon, and the list goes on. These great servants of God knew their position in him they knew who God was and understood how big he is and that he should be revered and respected, the most respectful way to talk to him in on our knees.

After I learnt of this powerful revelation I began to start kneeling, bowing face to the floor in the privacy of my room during my quite time. It was the best decision ever, I realized in that positioned how Great Majestic and Holy God is, his presence is felt on another level.

In this position God reminds me of all his goodness and mercy, I am reminded of how he has rescued me, I begin to remember all the times I could have died, all my toxic living and the character that I was. I see how undeserving I am of his grace, yet through all my sins he still loved me. Not once there was a day that his loved decreased or increased it has remained constant. "Jeremiah 31:3 Yes I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, with loving kindness I have drawn you"

I would be so moved by his presence and love that I would cry, soon my tears would turn into tears of desperation, for more of him, more of his presence, his goodness and mercy, just to dwell in his presences is the more than enough. I'd be in awe for the creator of the whole universe, he who is powerful, wise beyond measure, Holy, righteous, the giver of life would take his time to fellowship with me, I am nothing but a created being, one with so much baggage, mistakes, filth. Yet through it all he chooses to be with me. "Psalms 8:4 What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you should visit him" indeed why would he want to dwell with men who are unrighteous. That speaks so much of who he is and his love.

Try kneeling and see how your perspective of God changes. How he changes you from within. Kneeling can only be done out of free will wont you try it today? Here are words of John Bunyan "He that is down need fear no fall. He that is low no pride: He that is humble ever shall Have God to be his guide''

I pray God gives you the truth about kneeling.
