Deuteronomy 5:7 you shall have no other Gods before me. you shall not make for your selves a carved image any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water underneath. You shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the father upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love me and keep my commandments.

The first commandment that is given to the Israelites is that there shall be no other God before him, that if anyone makes an idol out of anything there is a curse that will follow you even to the next generation. This scripture is relevant today there cannot be another God except the Lord Jesus Christ. whatever takes priority over God is a form of idolatry. not necessarily does it only mean a different religion but whatever takes your attention, for years I had other things replacing God, I am guilty of putting material things like social media, my relationships, work and ambition.

False Gods have many things linked to it, materials and rituals sadly it is still around today but is disguised under the banner of "new age" "good luck" even to the extent of "good energy" and "decoration". We must remember that whatever in not linked to God is of this world and is evil.

Deuteronomy 7:26 "Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. you shall utterly detest it and utterly abhor it, for it is accursed thing."

I dabbled in a lot of superstitious things, I knew the truth about all these things but was blinded to the beauty and easiness of how to practice it. I used to have this obsession with Dream catchers, they were very beautiful I went out of my way getting them just to decorate my flat. Later I found that this was an accused thing, because it was used by the native Americans to catch bad dreams as good as it may sound it still is not of God but of a false religion.

Birthstones, charm bracelets, good luck charms they all are part of this new age movement, yes I thought they were harmless but the word of God is clear the moment you bring them into your house it brings destruction and doom completely oblivious of how and why you are going through hard times. We must realize the devil is cunning and intelligent to make accused things look innocent and harmless it is his way of entering our lives to torment us.

There was an incident at the birth of my nephew that my older brother his namesake upon hearing the news at the shopping mall in Singapore decided to look for a gift. He found a cuddly toy, it was adorable and cute it could change form a wolf to a hippo like all newborn toys it was soft and squishy just right for the little one. Api soon arrived and brought out his spoils for the baby, my mother and sister were delighted to see the cuddly toy, they took pictures of baby and him together and from that day onwards he slept with it.

That was the beginning of torment for our poor baby, he couldn't sleep he would cry constantly and scream like someone was hurting him he would even stretch out really hard like someone was pulling him we all felt sorry for him wondering what was happening, I began to pray and ask God to show me what the problem was.

It continued for a week and a few days, but leading up to the revelation from God, the room that my sister and baby now use used to be mine, when I shifted out from there I left the scriptures which covered all the walls. During the torment of my nephew we began to see some unusual things like the scriptures at the foot of the bed be take down like someone came to the room and pulled it off the wall. My father heard someone trying to put baby to sleep thinking that it was my sister but seeing no one in the room he just thought it was his imaginations.

Soon my mother told my sister to take him to the nurse and to find out what the matter was with him, as he drove to the clinic he slept so peacefully the nurse said that he was perfectly fine. The revelation came from God in the wee hours of the morning it was about 3 oclock that my nephew began to scream and cry it woke me up laying in bed I asked God "father what's the matter with baby" the holy spirit showed me the picture of the cuddly toy and gentle he spoke "shapeshifter"

I immediately got up to tell my sister, we removed the toy from the room, he slept but it was still in the house it needed to be removed and completely destroyed. My older brother came home and during our family devotion was when I told him all that had happened and what God had showed me I couldn't be the one to destroy it because it wasn't my gift. I praise God that my brother was not offended by the instruction from God, after our prayers Api went got the toy began to tear it apart saying "not my yaca (namesake)" he packed it in a plastic and threw it in the trash and just like that baby slept so peacefully no more of that screaming or stretching.

The devil is evil he can disguise cute and beautiful things like they are innocent and good but when they enter your house there are problems that arises that is unexplainable. I used to practice yoga, I would bring scented candles and light them in my flat even chakra stones I would recharge them and use them, now when I look back I see how much trouble I brought upon myself, depression, addiction, wild lifestyles but praise God for intervening opening my eyes soon I I could throw them out

January of 2018 at my parents' house the Lord called my family to a 21 day fast during that time we had to cleanse the house. Everything that was ungodly we had to throw them out and completely destroy every type of books, fantasy, horror, romantic even harry potter books I burned them in an empty drum outside out house. We removed souvenirs as well my brother brought back from Egypt a wooden carving of pharaoh it looked innocent but the Holy spirit said to remove it. A huge portrait of an owl that we brought back from our stay in Europe was also told to be destroyed. At the end of the fast after complete destroying the thing of the devil that we sought God for forgiveness, cleans our house, pleaded the blood of Jesus and rededicated our home to God. Praise God for being so merciful and loving to take us back.

There are things which we think is innocent and child's paly, one of them is reading horoscope, having our palms read and even tarot cards. I had a habit of reading my horoscope every time in the newspaper little did I know I was practicing witchcraft; no one can predict the future except God to have someone else is to partake is witchcraft. We always think witchcraft is casting spells and hexes but there are many forms of it we need to read between the lines, it is by the help of the holy spirit that we can see past the deception of the devil.

A had a boyfriend whose family was heavily involved with the freemasonry, I never joined but happened to come across their little book, intrigued about it I held it, I tried to read it but somehow it made no sense to me. Even that not directly being in the occult that I had to sought out Gods forgiveness for even touching their book, whatever we willingly touch or have any contact with the things that are not of God gives the devil legal grounds to our lives. That's when we open door to the devil and he begins to either, torment bring about sickens, problems and even death.

Getting my life right with God meant repenting and renouncing all my involvement with the things of the world and asking God to removes all curses and bondages my actions had brought about. God is the most powerful being, he is the only one who can set us free if only we put him rightfully where he belongs and that is God and God alone nothing before him and nothing beside him. if we call out to him he will answer us. He is mighty to save.

Most times we fear the things of the world the dark forces, spirits and demons but there should only be one who we must fear and that is God alone Mathew 10:28 "and do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell" Our God is wonderful and powerful if he can set me free then there is no doubt about it he can set you free as well.
