Izuku is making his way to the gym, as are all first years, vampires and werewolves. An assembly has been called.

He looks around and spots Katsuki leaning against a wall, looking disinterested and tired.

"Deku!" He's greeted by Ururaka waving him over.

"Hi Uraraka! Do you know what all this is about?" Izuku asks, raising his voice over the loud mass of students.

She shakes her head. "No, and I don't think it was scheduled. it seems too thrown together."

"Attention students!" the principal's loud voice booms over the speakers, quieting everyone. "As you all know, vampires and werewolves tend to stay near their own species, not only in the real world but even in this room right now," he gestures to the large mass of people, and when Izuku looks around he realizes he's right. All the werewolves are on one side, and the vampires are on the other. Izuku is sitting with Uraraka on the werewolf side.

"It is our goal as a school to unify both species, as this will help you in your future as heroes. to get along with those different from you. To do this, we have decided to organize a group project-" protests fill the room as students start talking, annoyed at the idea of a group project. "Listen. This is very important as it will be worth 25% of your final grade! Now, you will be put into pairs, one werewolf and one vampire. You will be given a task you need to have completed by the end of the semester,"

The principal explains the details, and Izuku looks around realizing he may be the only human in this room. Where would he go? Once the assembly ends, the principal alerts everyone of an envelope with their name on it in the back, which will have their assigned partner in it. Before Izuku can react, he adds, "And Izuku Midoriya you are to come speak with me. Thank you everyone,"

While the other students rush to the back to find their partner for the rest of the semester, Izuku makes his way to the front.

"You wanted to speak with me, sir?" Izuku asks the principal.

"Yes! Seeing as you are the only human, we decided you can just join a pair of your choosing."

"Okay, thank you!" Izuku turns around, walking into the commotion of students trying to find their partner.

"Hey Deku, what did the principal talk to you about?" Uraraka approaches him, holding an envelope.

"He said I could choose a group to join," he explains. "Did you see who your partner is yet?"

"Yes, it says its a vampire named Iida. Would you like to join us?"

Before Izuku could respond, someone appears seemingly out of no where behind him.

"Todoroki!" Izuku jumps at the sudden presence next to him. "Where did you-"

"I was just going to ask if you wanted to join my group," he's holding an unopened envelope, looking hopeful.

"uhh," Izuku looks between Uraraka and Todoroki, feeling torn.

"Oh, its okay Deku! you can join his group if you want!" Uraraka steps in, realizing Izuku's discomfort.

"Oh- okay, thank you!" Izuku watches her leave and turns to Todoroki. "Have you checked who your partner is yet?"

Todoroki proceeds to open the envelope and his face falls. Just then there is a voice behind them. "Well isn't this just great,"
