Katsuki is working on some school work when there is a knock on his door. 

Shoto is standing there in a light blue button down and navy pants. Hair brushed neatly like always. He somehow seems slightly more put together than usual. 

"What do you want?" he expects to hear something related to Deku. Nothing else would warrant a visit from the dual haired vampire like this. Deku has been doing better, it's been a week since he got drunk he hasn't shown any out of character behaviour since. 

"I would like to cash in my favour."

Crimson eyes narrow. "Your what?"

Shoto was expecting this response. "Don't you remember? You promised me a favour. Back when I got that key for you to take Izuku on that museum date. You owe me something. I am ready to use it."

Katsuki thinks back to that day. It was back when Izuku was himself. "It feels like that was forever ago. I'm surprised you didn't forget about that."

"Oh I've just been waiting for the right time. And that time is now."

"Damn.... Well might as well get this over with. What favour am I doing for ya?"

"Let me take you on a date."

They've been driving for a while, Katsuki having no idea where their destination is.

"Let me guess. We're going to go to some fancy restaurant for dinner. You tell me you like me, try to soften me up, then ask me to be your boyfriend. I hate to burst this fantasy of yours but the favour was to let you take me on the date, not enjoy it, and not have any more obligations to go to future dates." he tries to picture what type of date would be Shoto would choose. Cheesy love songs playing, fancy gifts, lots of long boring talk about feelings. Ugh.

"I don't need more than one date. I'm not asking you to be my boyfriend. And I said I'm not telling you where we are going." 

"Tch. Confident you'll woo me over with this one then, huh?"

"No. This is just my final attempt. If you do not see a future with me besides getting along with Izuku after today, I am leaving you be for good. I'm not chasing after you." he responds simply.

Katsuki is silent. He's really giving up after this... That's fine. That's what I wanted. Sure there were some weak moments... when Deku wasn't around... but that was it. We were both looking for comfort because we worried about Deku. That was all it ever was. He couldn't help the drop in his stomach at Shoto's words. He tried to ignore it. Sure he didn't want to... But... He didn't want him to give up trying.

"Of course, not being my boyfriend means no more boyfriend privileges. I will never attempt anything romantic or sexual towards you again, and your advances will be turned down. Anyways, we're here."

"Here-" Katsuki looks around. There's just trees and wilderness. 

Shoto gets out of his car and heads to the trunk. "C'mon. We're going mountain climbing."

Mountain climbing... How did Shoto know he loved mountain climbing? Did Deku tell him? Maybe the date won't be too bad. He hasn't gone for a while, but he used to go all the time. Gave him a place to clear his head and be away from everyone. Either way. He can't let Shoto know he's impressed by the choice.

He gets out of the car as Shoto is shutting the trunk of the car, coming back around wearing a backpack. He changed into more outdoor appropriate clothes. Luckily most of Katsuki's clothes are made of durable materials, never know when he'll need to get into action. "I made sure to bring water and sustenance, so don't worry."
