It took a lot of convincing to allow a +1 in Izuku's first therapy session. He had been trying to get both Shoto and Katsuki to be able to join him, since he didn't want to face this stranger alone for the first time. However the therapist believed Izuku would be able to speak more freely if he was alone with no distractions.
Eventually she caved when Izuku simply refused to enter the room without someone, but she met with him half way and said only one other person could join him.
Izuku chose Katsuki since he takes up so much of Shoto's time already both during the day and at night when he can't sleep.
Katsuki skipped class to be with Izuku (who had a slip giving him permission to miss class due to his recovery) earlier that day and they went and picked up a new phone for him, who then had to re-add all of his contacts. It was upsetting that all his photos and memories were gone, but with everything the freckled male had gone through that didn't seem like that big of a deal.
Currently Izuku is sitting on a pale purple couch with Katsuki next to him, taking in his surroundings of the small office. It was a cozy space, with various plants lining the window and on the table between them, as well as a bowl of sweets. In front of him was a friendly looking woman, probably in mid 30s, with black hair in a messy bun and round glasses. Izuku can tell by her smile that she is human as well, it could be a coincidence but there is a good chance they chose her because having that connection might help her understand Izuku better, and have him feel safer.
"You must be Midoriya, correct?"
"Yes ma'am," Izuku nods respectfully, trying to hide any signs of nervousness. He's very tired, he keeps waking up with nightmares and is lucky to get more than a few hours sleep each night. He'll wake up shaking in a cold sweat and it takes hours for him to calm down.
"You can call me Aya, and you are?" Aya turns to Katsuki.
"Katsuki Bakugou," Bakugou grumbles.
"Nice to meet you Bakugou. I'm going to have to ask you refrain from interrupting the session if possible, so I can focus on Midoriya. You are welcome to stay for moral support as long as he wishes,"
"Whatever," Katsuki shrugs and leans back on the couch, grabbing a rubix cube from the table beside him to fiddle with.
Izuku is asked some lighthearted, casual questions at first, the raven haired woman probably noting how nervous Izuku seemed at first and was trying to make him more comfortable before inevitably reaching a heavier topic.
"Now I have been given some information on your situation, but I would like to hear it from you directly. Do you feel comfortable telling me what happened to you in these past weeks?"

Katsuki listened painfully as Izuku recalled his whole experience. He knew what he went through must have been horrible, but hearing all those things coming out of his mouth made him all the more thankful for what Shoto did to Dabi. Hearing Izuku's voice crack as he starts to sob for the third time, his stutter worsening, the explosive blond squeezes the stressball he found earlier even tighter, so tightly that it breaks and some white stuff oozes out. He places it back where he got it, about to grab another toy to fiddle with when he pauses to hear Izuku's next part of the story.
"And- and then- he brought me to the shower.... he made me... he-" Izuku breaks down again and Katsuki can't take it anymore.
"Is this really helping?!" he snaps at the lady. "Look at him he's a fucking mess, looks even worse than when he got here! What's this accomplishing, forcing him to remember all this shit?" he glares at the woman putting his mate through all this pain. If Dabi weren't already dead he would hunt him down and torture him.
