Hey everyone :) above is the dress I pictured Josephine to wear ❤
I also hope you like the song I picked.
_________________________________________As I neared the gazebo and the many chairs, I felt out of place.
Every person in the room had someone to conversate with.
Someone, in which, they had things in common.
What ever could Hero be up to?
More guests began piling into the chapel as my uneasiness grew and I began to see many faces I could have gone without seeing.
To name a few, there was: Ellie accompanied by Luke. Annie was wrapped around a man much older than was socially acceptable. There were a few fraternity girls and frat boys looking more suave than usual and, much to my displeasure, Kylie followed in their wake.
And who was she with?
I felt my stomach turn as I saw her expression. I knew for a fact that she was hoping Hero was going to be her plus-one.
Just perfect. His behavior before we arrived didn't help the wayward thoughts of my worries.
Doing my best to ignore the bile rising in my throat, I focused on the chaos ensueing around me.
Not long after, I caught sight of Niall's parents and of course Hero's.
I was shocked to see Dorinda sparing a smile at me, though it fell when Diedre tapped on her from behind.
My god. She'd invited her?
Before long, Brendan blindsided me, gathering me into a bone-crushing hug.
As expected, he looked just as well-groomed. I eyed his black suit already knowing he'd blend in.
"Dang, girl!" He exclaimed. "You look hot!"
I hung onto his arms, eyeing him at arms length.
"So do you, Brendan! Have you seen Jo yet?"
He rolled his eyes.
"No, they refuse to let me see the bride. I suppose it is bad luck. Where's your beau?"
I sighed. "I don't even know at this point. There's still some trouble in paradise."
"Don't worry I-"
Brendan had barely managed to get the rest of his sentence out before an older couple shrieked from across the room. I recognized the familiar faces from the times I had gone to his house. They were a sweet but energetic pair.
I could see where Brendan got his personality from.
"Sorry." He rolled his eyes. "It seems my mother and father can't contain themselves."
As he stalked off, I looked around the room, meeting eyes with none other than Diedre. She had separated herself from her daughter, clinging against a table.
She eyed me with the utmost loathing as if we were the only two people in the room.
Perhaps I really had accused Hero of something he never did. Diedre only got pissed over one instance, and that was when she was kept from her grandson.
I needed to apologize.
Before I could make a move to find Hero, Dorinda was kissing me on the cheek, with her husband standing idly by.
What?
"I had no idea my mother would be here." She hurried to explain. "I don't know how she found out."
I shrugged. "It's okay."
It wouldn't be the first time she's snooped around.
For the first time, Dorinda cracked a genuine smile at me. What was this? Had her hospitalization rid her of her memory of me?
"I thought about what you said," she went on, sounding more friendly than ever, "I think this will be good for me. Plus, life is too short. Thank you."
Out of nowhere, a sharp crackle erupted. From the front stage where the gazebo sat, Tawnee had taken ahold of the microphone.
Like Dorinda, she looked ravishing, adorning dark colors and an elegant updo.
"Hello everyone!" She shouted joyfully. "Thank you all for joining us for this joyous occasion. No one is as excited as I am to give away my son. Please take a seat at the altar, as the ceremony will begin momentarily."
It was chaotic as the guests managed to fill each and every chair. Our parents took their places at the altar and all of us bridesmaids took our places near the best men.
The pianist rushed past us all, immediately sitting at the grand piano. I'd barely noticed that Niall had appeared as the bridal chorus began playing.
He looked the same yet different. His usually messy hair was gelled and combed back. Though a piercing was visible, it didn't take away from his looks.
He tried to maintain his nerves, but I saw through his hardened exterior; he was shaking like a fragile leaf, excited to see his bride.
The room seemed to have grown deathly quiet, despite the music still playing. Niall's eyes went to the size of saucers.
We all turned to see the entrance doors to the chapel burst open. Like heaven, light emanated onto the red carpeted walkway.
In it's wake stepped out Josephine with her father chained to her clothed arm.
She was the epitome of perfection as she made her way down the isle. She was definitely nervous though she didn't have a reason to be. The sleeved white lace dress pooled behind her like running water. The veil over her delicate face completed the look.
It was as if she finally found the place in which she was meant to be.
Just in the nick of time as she made it to the altar and took Niall's outstretched hand, Hero rushed towards the altar, eyeing me warily.
Where the fuck had he been?
Then, much to my horror, Kylie emerged from a corner of the room, having disappeared down a hall.
She wiped the corners of her mouth, attempting to get a rise out of me.
She was successful.
