[ Anna's POV ]
"You fucking did what?" Jane yells and throws her arms in the air for a dramatic effect. I arrived to Jane's house about an half hour ago and Chanel arrived ten minutes ago. It's a good thing Jane's parents are gone for a conference, because with the sound of Jane's voice you would think that there's a criminal in her room.
"Anna did what?" Chanel walks into Jane's room holding three glasses of coke. She sits down on the floor and raises her eyebrows.
"She fucking kissed Jason!" Jane yells again and inhales deeply. "Oh my fucking God, have you told Chris yet?"
"No and I don't plan on doing so," I say calmly and ignore Chanel's intense gaze, "and Jason kissed me, I didn't kiss back."
"Just because you had a fight, doesn't mean you can go around kissing people!" Jane hisses and lets herself fall on her bed. "And it doesn't matter who kissed who, Chris will fucking kill Jason."
"You messed up girl," Chanel sighs and puts her hand on my knee. "Although it's partly Jason's fault, since he kissed you." She shrugs.
I shake my head. "And there's something else-"
"Is it worse than kissing your ex?" Jane says, her voice muffled due to the pillow she's hugging.
"Shut up, Jane!" Chanel laughs. "Please continue."
"You know Matt's party last night?" I sigh and the girls nod. "Well, I didn't go. Chris did though. He came home this morning, like 2 AM and drunk. He was talking about all those weird things, like killing some guy named Jack and how he didn't like me and that this relationship is part of his plan. I mean, what does that even mean?"
Chanel looks confused, her eyebrows are knit together and Jane scratches her neck after sitting up.
"Um... Wait, what?" Jane asks me and stands up to grab her coke. "Who's Jack? A plan? You need to slow down." She takes a big gulp of her coke and groans afterwards.
"He was rambling and to be honest, I thought that he was just drunk and joking, but when he woke up this afternoon and then we talked about it, I don't know, he seemed so... nervous. Ashamed," I clear up and chuckle. "This is getting so weird."
"You should be glad that you're spending this week here! Girl talk and stuff!" Jane yells and walks to the bathroom. "I need to piss!"
Chanel's phone goes off the moment Jane shuts the bathroom door. "Um," Chanel looks at me and sighs, "it's Tiffany."
"Don't look at me, you're still friends with her," I stand up and stretch my legs. "Your relationship with her is not really my business. But you should put her on speaker, just in case."
Chanel slides her thumb across the screen. "Hey Tiff," Chanel says into the phone.
"Put it on speaker!" I whisper. Chanel rolls her eyes and puts the phone on speaker.
"Where are you?" I hear Jane's cheery voice through the phone.
Chanel frowns and looks at me with a questioning look. I shrug and flip my hair.
"Um, I'm at Jane's," Chanel says uneasily. "Anna's here too." She adds quickly.
I furrow my eyebrows and whisper, "what the fuck Chanel?", before groaning softly and grabbing my soda.
"Oh... are they in the room?" Tiffany ask, a little suspicion in her voice.
I shake my head and put my finger on my lips. I'm pretty curious about what Tiffany has to say behind our backs.
"No, they're not here," Chanel says, still a little bit uneasy since she doesn't like to lie to her friends.
"Oh, well... Nicki, Frankie's sister, told me some juicy gossip about Chris and Anna. And you know that I dont really care for gossip, but you HAVE to know this!"
What the hell? Tiffany is suddenly interested in our relationship, when a week ago, she couldn't care less about Chris?
"Well... I heard that there are rumors going around about Chris being in a gang. You know, like a criminal gang. And that Jessica used to date the leader of their gang! Like, does Anna know this? Is that why she's so drawn to Chris? Because he lives a dangerous life?" Tiffany rambles on and on.
A gang? I struggle to hold in my laugh and put my hands over my mouth to prevent me from laughing. Could this be anymore ridiculous? Yes, Chris has changed a lot in the past month, but a criminal?
"Um... Isn't this a little bit weird and over the top?" Chanel says, trying not to chuckle, but she fails horribly.
"This is not fun-!" Tiffany says, but her voice gets muffled by the sound of Jane throwing her bathroom door open.
"What are you bitches talking about!" Jane yells the same second Tiffany asks, "are they in the room?"
"Uhm, Anna and Jane just came in the room," Chanel says and stands up to slap Jane.
"Ow, what the hell Chanel?" Jane frowns playfully and pouts after Chanel gives her a soft slap across her face for the second time. "Wasn't Anna in the room for like, the whole time?"
"Oh fuck," I mutter and face palm.
"Tiff, I gotta go. Sorry," Chanel says and hangs up quickly. "Jane, come on! We already have shit going on with her, you're making it worse!"
"Oh, please. She's such a fake hoe. Being all nice to our faces, but then she turns around and gossips behind our backs?" Jane puts her hands on her waist and raises her eyebrows.
